Runway To Grammy Awards “Salute To Icons Honoring Doug Morris” Clive Davis Event – Katy Perry In Georges Chakra Couture

We’re very used to seeing Katy Perry wear loud bright attention grabbing colours, but last night at the “Salute to Icons Honoring Doug Morris” event she opted for a less in your face look.

The Grammy nominated singer shone wearing a Georges Chakra Fall 2009 Couture flapper style halter dress which was embellished with crystals and rhinestones in shades of bronze.

She didn’t need any bling, so she completed her look with gold peep-toes.

I just love the way this dress moves on the runway.

It does look good in movement on the runway, but on Katy it just kind of goes blah.

Like the dress just not on Katy. I dont like the length of the dress on her either. Was there a dress code?everyone seems to be wearing really shiny looks

i agree with you, great dress but i don’t like it on Katy… i think it’s dress for a tall athletic bodytype… some kind of amazonian girl… i just can’t think of anyone who would do justice to the dress atm.

FC would do this justice, she has the height and she has a good figure to pull it off.

I like the dress and I even like it on Katy but the hair is throwing me off. It needed to be out of the way of all that was going on in the dress.

I love the dress, the colors are pretty but I don’t like the gold shoes with that dress

  6. Leti January 31, 2010 at 15:55 #

Don’t like the shoes or the length, but from the waist up, I’m liking it.

  7. robbie January 31, 2010 at 16:31 #

love it, but on katy it falls a little flat for me.

    She looks stunning.
While I can appreciate that Katy is stepping out of her box I really, really, really hope she brings some fun and energy to the Red Carpet tonight. Fingers crossed

I don’t like this dress on the model or Katy Perry. It’s two different aesthetics crammed on one dress. The dress is Navaho meets flapper.

Navaho meets Flapper….hilarious!! But I still like it :)

Is she wearing the same shoes as Taylor Swift?

I am surprised and pleased. Katy, please move away from tackyville though. Get away from Las Vegas tacky I mean.
