Runway To Essence Black Women In Music Event – Mary J Blige In Alexander McQueen

There’s only so much black a person can wear on the red carpet before I start to lose interest in them.

Mary J Blige was has been wearing a lot of black lately, so I was relieved to see her wearing this bright red asymmetrical Alexander McQueen Resort 2010 jersey dress to the “Essence Black Women In Music Event”.

The singer looked the best she has a in long while pairing her dress with a black studded Burberry Prorsum clutch and some sexy strappy sandals.

Taraji P. Henson wore a figure hugging Bodyamr LBD with a ruffled neckline and a plunging sheer panel, whilst carrying a Perrin Paris 1893 “Je Te Tiens” clutch and wearing Giuseppe Zanotti heels with a red platform.

me too, only because a flatter chest accentuates the detail, MJB’s body is fabulous but not in this dress

Is it me, or the model looks like that teeny bopper singer Avril Lavigne? Only skinnier and taller!!

I actually really like Taraji P. Henson’s dress a lot. Very cool details. I don’t like Mary’s dress at all on her.

I am crazy about the underlining on Mary’s dress, fab colour on her, but there’s no structure at all to the dress, therefore I am not feeling it…. Fab makeup though

Looks a little bit market stall to me. Although face and hair looks great.

I’m not in love with the dress on her but agree with you FC that it’s the best she has looked in a long time. I wish you would have shown more of this event.
