Elie Saab’s Spring 2010 Couture presentation took me on a fairytale journey. I was breathless from the first exit to the last.

Elie’s theme for Spring was pretty pastels, which were presented in baby blues, pinks, lavender, beige and mellow yellow.

We saw stunning double layered gowns with mother-of-pearl petal embroidered overlays which were exquisite.

Other gowns billowed in the model-made wind revealing sexy thigh high splits which were double layered with lace adding more allure. Elizabeth Hurley will bring her legs out of retirement for these show stoppers.

The collection wasn’t all about pastel gowns, there were some shorter styles which young Hollywood would love, alongside some voluminous organza floral print ball gowns.

The Spring 2010 Elie Saab woman is sexy, sensual yet innocence. The looks were pretty and so very feminine. I still can’t pick a favourite.

This is a picture I took of the finale gown. My camera didn’t do justice to this gown which twinkled like Tinkerbell as the model walked the reflective runway.

Here’s the finale. Which shows how fabulous these gowns are in motion.

My jaw… on the ground. These are fabulous. So, so jealous that you got to see these FC!

I can see several of these hopefully out and about for award season!

Since we both love Cate, I thought I’d tell you that Cate Blanchett was at a make up event in Japan that had a lot of amazing looks there from several Asian actresses and Cate had a very beautiful look on (though, with tights).

I literally gasped when the page loaded. Every single one of these pieces belongs on the redcarpet. I just hope the right people get their hands on them first. I can’t pick a favorite, but the aqua blue color of that one gown is breathtaking.

Just the thought of Elie Saab’s creations gives me a glimpse of what fashion heaven looks like. Honestly, there are great designers who innovate and cause such a fashion fuss and then there is Elie Saab, Valentino, Armani….designers who stay true to their aim in making women look as beautiful as they should be. I still remember that post where FC met with Elie Saab really well. Wish I could even breathe the same air as Fashion Maestro Saab….

Absolutely gorgeous. When I see fashion lines like this, I think “Wow, fashion can be innovative, wearable and beautiful all at the same time.” So often, I feel like today’s designers are missing one of the three.
