Dior’s Spring 2010 Couture collection had many references, but Alexandre Vauthier’s Spring 2010 Couture collection had one – Power dressing.
The collection included bold peaked shoulders, most with plunging necklines and some with asymmetrical necklines.
The colour palette consisted of bold blood reds, electric blues, goblin greens and muted black. One black plunging dress was paired with a large sequined belt for a sexier vibe.
The sequined pieces really stood out, even the black jumpsuit.
But it’s the red dress I would wish to see on the red carpet.
Rihanna is a huge fan of Alexandre Vauthier, so lets hope she brings some of these pieces to the red carpet at some point.
The Grammy’s are on Sunday night. Perfect showcase for both the red carpet and that blue sequin leotard would make a great stage costume.

It is an amazing collection, I love the black dress so much
I bet Rihanna and Lady Gaga will be fighting for first dips in this collection, I can see Gaga in the electric blue shoulder padded long sleeve bodysuit, I agree with Kimmy it is kinda reminiscent of Balmain.
Seriously though I am dying from the magnificense of this collection, I am floored by the Teal winged Jumpsuit, the Black sequined jumpsuit and just about everything else!

OHHHHHHH MY GOSHHHHHHHH! u’ve totally made my day. i saw it and thot Joan Collins in Dynasty would wear these pieces. I can see Rihanna in the green cat suit (Hott!!!) Mary Jblige in the blue dress. But the deep plunging black dress reminds me of a dress in Victoria Beckhams collection. I believe you actually tried it on and posted it on this site. didnt you? oh but i love the collection. I love you for posting it . SIGH!!!

I agree! First thing I thought when I saw this was plunging necklines + sequins + super short skirts and thigh high splits = Blake Lively. lol. Can see her in the red sequin dress especially (but maybe in a different colour). The black jumpsuit would look amazing on Kate Moss. Getting a bit sick of pointy shoulders though . . .

I love this shoulders but I agree with Kimmy this collection very similar to the Balmain and if I want buy dress with such shoulders of course I will choise Balmain.
The last three looks are my fave!
It helps that the models are also curvy and not rail thin (it balances out the shoulders).
