We had no doubts that Cheryl Cole would upstage everyone at the 2010 National Television Awards.
She looked stunning in this dove grey Stéphane Rolland Fall 2009 Couture gown paired with David Morris jewels.
Cheryl’s gown was fully lined and modified from the runway as her gown didn’t have sleeves.
I particularly love the clasp detail at the waist, and the way that the dress falls around her feet.
I’m not particularly overjoyed about the cuffs, but I’ll let it go seeing as everything else is so perfect.
Cheryl is huge fan of Stéphane Rolland as she wore his looks during week 8 and week 9 of the X Factor live shows, plus on her TV show Cheryl’s Night In.
We love Cheryl when she channels Couture.
She was our Couture Queen of 2009, will she retain her title in 2010?

i would be all over this if it wasnt for those stupid cuffs but the rest is pretty damn good.
i wish she left the cuffs home because the dress itself is amazing and cuffs are just killing it. it was first what i saw and then amazing details on the waist. Other thing i really widh for her is to wear softer make up, she has amazing face features and softer makeup would flatter her more.
those cuffs dont do a thing to the outfit…makes it look like she has bandages around her wrists instead! anyhow, she still looks good
I prefer the runway version with the sheer sleeves and shoulder panels (and the colour), but I still think she looks great.
P.S. And before I saw this comparison to the runway dress I had no idea what it looked like, so at that point I thought Cheryl’s dress was perfect.
I’m going to go against the grain and say I don’t like this at all! On the runway the dress was beautiful- I love the ethereal feel of the light skirt and sleeves. On Cheryl it looks totally different and almost cheap- too tight, too busty, and those hideous cuffs- ick. I would have loved to have seen the original dress on someone like Keira Knightly -it needs a more willow figure
(I’m a busty girl too, and I love Cheryl’s figure- i’m no skinny Nazi!- but I think sometimes you have to evaluate that despite loving a dress, the cut is just not for you)
I agree – I would have preferred the runway version. I think they focus too much on being ‘sexy’ – just because you’re busty, doesn’t mean you have to show your boobs ALL the time. So this modified version looks and feels so forced imo.
I partly agree. The runway version is 10 times better.
I don’t think Cheryl looks tacky because of her boobs though. The missing sleeves and the damn cuffs are to blame imo.
Oops- i mean “willowy” obviously!
Cheryl’s version looks tacky. The runway is much better.
I totally agree the runaway version is amazing, on Cheryl is irrelevant!
I was really looking forward to see what she would wear and I was sooooo disappointed, it felt like she was wearing my grandma’s curtains.
I always agree with FC but not on this one, Cheryl Cole can’t do couture, it just doesn’t work!
I cosign with the cuff haters. Not a fan.
The dress is amazing but it looked better on the runway.
I hate the cuff but I love the color
This looks like a bad super-hero costume. Is she the new bad girl in X-Men or something?
LOL
EXACTLY! STAR TREK COSTUME!
That’s exactly what I was thinking. She looks like She-Ra: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/She-Ra
Are the cuffs a nod to her (hideous) ‘Fight for this love’ performance costumer perhaps? Still inexcusable
Funny enough I see this more as a Dannii dress then Cheryl. Perhaps she picked up some styling tips!
I really hate this dress on her, it looks very tactky, and doesnt really suit her at all…. the color looks iike it was meant to be white but it was mixed in the wash with a black top! It kinda remainds me of star trek with those ghastly cuffs. Awful.
This is just ok,nothing special and the handcuffs?cheryl babe your not princess leya! This is typical Cheryl, trying to hard, garish and nouveau riche.
I think she looks STUNNING and the cuffs may be very Wonder Woman-eque but at least she is looking healthy and happy.
Love It!! i think she looks absolutly brilliant, Love Youu Cheryl!!! .xxxx
the runway version is perfect, she kind of mess it without the sleeves. tor he choice should have been no sleeves and no cufs, because it looks weird this way.
I love this! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. This kind of shape around the shoulders is SO flattering, and cuffs, while you might liken them to ’80s workout gear, are also really flattering. I would say Cheryl has maybe never looked better. A stunner.
