Runway To “Master Of Study” Press Conference – Oh Yoon Ah In Burberry Prorsum

Once I saw this picture of Oh Yoon Ah I decided to ignore the silly drama from last year because this perfection must be shared.

Oh Yoon Ah attended the press conference for “Master of Study” at the Palace Hotel in Seoul.

My chin is still on the floor in shock at how stunning she looks wearing this lime green Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 ensemble.

The colour is perfect for her skin tone.

Like you I still can’t get over how amazing this collection was, and how it translates so well off the runway.

Even the socks and strappy leather sandals combo works well here.

Definitely in contention for BDOTW.

I too must say I’m glad that you’re covering South Korean events. I always love to see what they’re wearing.

I’m also happy that a lot of them are wearing the socks with heels combo. Sometimes I like it on the runway look but never get to see it out there in celeb land. The look is starting to grow on me.

yes!! so glad to see you covering asian actresses and events again.

like oh yoon ah here, your site and coverage is amazing.

Btw, I just saw a pic of Li Bingbing in another Burberry Prorsum dress and she looks oh – so – cute.

Don’t stress Fashion Critic. Everyone realises that it was obviously an inadvertent error, not some form of racial vilification with malice. You apologised and corrected the error promptly, which is all that matters. We love you Fashion Critic!

    • Fashion Critic January 12, 2010 at 07:06 #

      thanks Martin xxx

You didn’t make any mistakes in this post. Thank you for posting this up. I’m sorry to hear that you went through trouble in the past for a mistake. Race will always be a sensitive issue. threatening to taking legal action was really over the top though.. your site is viewed by so many and Asian events are rare.. so they were probably fans that were upset… when they could have simply corrected you. Its a mistake that is made often and its not like you did it with bad intentions. You simply don’t know the Asian celebrities as well as the stars you usually follow. I hope those two readers will try to understand….

“Definitely in contention for BDOTW.” I seriously hope not.

  7. bitsy January 11, 2010 at 21:38 #

wow. she wears it better than the model IMO.

  8. Laura January 11, 2010 at 21:37 #

So happy you decided to feature Asian women again.

This dress is all kinds of awesome and is a definite BDOTW contender.

  9. Emily January 11, 2010 at 21:28 #

Definitely a great look but I serioiusly doubt if it will be good enough for the BDOFW poll as I have never been a big fan of any redcarpet looks that are pretty much identical to the runway look. It would have been great if she had made an effort to put a little twist!

  10. Chiara January 11, 2010 at 19:29 #

Thank you for putting aside this drama and featuring asian events!

  11. jane January 11, 2010 at 19:25 #

i’m asian and i don’t find that offensive. it was an honest mistake. plus i think it’s really nice that you share asian red carpet events too. before i visited this blog.. i didn’t know all the asian stars were wearing famous brands. thanks for doing your job FC 🙂

  12. Vanessa January 11, 2010 at 18:49 #

almost thought it was leighton meester (quickly scrolling down). wish she had worn this. although i love all the asian red carpets and events. i think they’re more daring with their choices and wear more couture

  13. zoe January 11, 2010 at 17:19 #

yayyy, i’m so glad that asian red carpet events have a chance at being covered! the actress here looks amazing. and she pulls off the socks and sandals trend incredibly well. i don’t know who else could, except a model. i guess you just have to have confidence in the look.

As long as I read you (and it`s been about 1.5 year) I didn`t notice anything from you that could show you as a racist. Not even once.
And I`m from one of those “-stan” countries so I know what I mean =)
You`re cool and I love your blog! You are doing great job! Keep on!!!

    • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 16:55 #

      thanks Dana 😀 😀

  15. miwa January 11, 2010 at 16:33 #

Does this mean you will continue reporting on Asian events and celebrities? Or was this just an exception (I hope not)? I always look forward to Asian events because their celebrities always have a lot of fun with fashion.

    • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 16:37 #

      I will continue. 😀

  16. Mario January 11, 2010 at 16:11 #

Wow, this is totally gorgeous! The collection was simply stunning and I really love seeing it on the red carpet or simply on someone walking down the street.

Btw, you might wanna fix Prosum into Prorsum 😀

    • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 16:25 #

thanks I always forget that second R

  17. Dora January 11, 2010 at 16:02 #

She looks gorgeous! I’m glad she wore the same shoes and socks from the runway.

On monday already 2 BDOTWs ? That promises alot! (:

  18. mol January 11, 2010 at 15:52 #

You’re fantastic FC, and so is Oh Yoon Ah!

    • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 16:06 #

      awww….thanks Mol

    I’m crying.

I absolutely lova Burberry Spring collection, but Asian girls are just killing it.

  21. Stuti January 11, 2010 at 15:20 #

Beautiful, simply beautiful. I love the dress and the shoes!
Btw, FC, what drama are you referring to?

    • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 15:25 #

I mentioned the word Chinese in the text of a post and 2 readerS took offense because two of the girls were Korean.

They said I was racist and one threaten to take legal action against me.

It was such an unnecessary situation, but I’m over it now.

      • Stuti January 11, 2010 at 15:29 #

Oh. I come across that a lot, am Indian too. Most situations people claim to be racist and cry over are actually played out to be something they are not, misinterpreted. And honestly, what you wrote wasn’t racist at all! Am glad you are over it, always better to take the high road. 🙂

        • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 15:37 #

You’re right. I also felt like I was disappointing a lot of people.

      • Ally January 11, 2010 at 16:07 #

Wow, since when did making a mistake become racist? I think it is great that you report on stars that a lot of your readers don’t know well when they look this amazing. And unfortunately, when you aren’t as familiar with the actress, you may get some facts wrong. All someone needs to do is point it out! Keep up the good work b/c it would have been sad to have missed out on this beatiful look.

        • Fashion Critic January 11, 2010 at 16:09 #

It would have been a tragedy to miss out on this and the other fab looks from Asia I have lined up this week.

          Thanks Ally xxx
