It’s Flower-Power Hippie Chic For H&M’s Spring 2010 Collection

If you are looking outside your window and seeing nothing but snow falling, this should make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I’m very excited about the floral colourful explosion coming from H&M this Spring and I think you will be too.

The added bonus when you purchase this collection is that you’ll be saving the environment.

All the pieces from the romantic garden collection have been made using organic and recycled materials.

The bright and flowery pieces will update and rejuvenate your closet whatever your personal style.

The collection includes a feminine chiffon dress made from recycled polyester with a colourful garden print, a pinafore dress in organic cotton with romantic roses and a smock dress in organic cotton with an ethnic floral pattern.

Prices start from £1.99 for a floral print canvas bag, £12.99 for the floral dress above with the wide pockets, to £74.99 for a flutter sleeved floral dress.

Does anyone else love the Thakoon / Stella McCartney feel to this collection?

I can’t wait for this collection to hit the stores on March 25.

Managed to get the white dress that the model is wearing on your main pic – it’s actually more of a beige colour and has a lot more fabric underneath than I thought, so might wear it with a belt. I was going to get the pink dress with the flowery shoulders but they only had it in a medium which was too baggy for me 🙁 Fairly pleased with my purchase though! x

This is how you do florals! Nothing against Liberty of London, but it is just too much! I will be heading to my closest H&M to check this collection out!

    • Fashion Critic March 30, 2010 at 18:20 #

be quick. I think it’s almost sold out 🙂

i just checked out the collection in my local store and although i’m not the hugest fan of flowery motives, it swept me off my feet!

btw did u see Victoria Beckham at the launch of her new dress collection at the TSUM store? she was stunning!

    • Fashion Critic March 25, 2010 at 14:12 #

yes waiting for all the pictures to come in

  5. amers March 25, 2010 at 13:36 #

when I first saw it I was very exited too. however, when I saw some of the pieces in the store I was quite disappointed. The colours are not so bright and really woudnt pay any attention to those clothes if they werent advertised. The fabrics are nice though

    • Fashion Critic March 25, 2010 at 14:29 #

I agree not all as strong as they appear in the photos, but I got 3 pieces so I’m happy

      • amers March 25, 2010 at 14:45 #

kl, which pieces did u get?

        • cat_not_kitty March 29, 2010 at 21:29 #

Amers/FC – How was the red strapless floral applique dress in person? I’ve been in love with it for months.

          • Fashion Critic March 29, 2010 at 21:34 #

beautiful, but way to short for someone like me 🙁

It was probably the best piece of the collection as a lot of it looked quite cheap in reality

        • cat_not_kitty March 30, 2010 at 19:00 #

Ah, yes – but aren’t you basically 6 foot? Not everyone is as lucky as you :). I’m 5’5″, so maybe I can pull it off – that is, if I can find it anywhere.

I’m torn right now between ordering a terrific dress off of Asos (which will end up costing a lot more than list price due to customs and taxes here in Canada) or keeping my trigger finger at bay and looking for this little H&M wonder in person. They’re so different, though, that I want both! And the B&W one is far more “me”.

Ah, Spring…gets me so excited for warm weather than I go crazy buying dress after dress (an 8-month winter stretch of jeans, jeans, jeans will do that to any fashionista, though).

          • Fashion Critic March 30, 2010 at 19:02 #

            that’s a really nice dress.

It’s ironic that this “green” line was released the same day H&M got busted for destroying unsold merchandise in New York.

Actions speak louder than fuzzy feel-good campaigns.

I Want All Of It Too!!!…. I love it! This has given me the motivation to get back on my Detox diet and lose all that extra christmas weight! the pink strapless dress is AMAZING!..

Gorgeous! I’m looking outside and it’s sunny, sunny in Melbourne so these would be perfect right now! (H & M please come to Australia!) I’m definetly getting a Stella McCartney Spring 2010 vibe, but the bright flutter sleeve pritned dress reminds me of a Thakoon Resort dress Carey Mulligan wore. Also, welcome back FC and team!

    • Fashion Critic January 7, 2010 at 06:25 #

      thanks Julia.

And we are trying not to be jealous of your sunnier climes.

Shocked you don’t have a H&M, I thought they were everywhere

  11. Ayesha January 7, 2010 at 03:18 #
