Runway To Heathrow Airport – Victoria Beckham In Isabel Marant

The Beckham’s spent Christmas at Beckingham Palace in the UK prior to David rejoining Italian soccer team AC Milan.

The Beckhams sans David were spotted leaving Heathrow airport on Sunday enroute to LA.

Victoria is the latest celebrity to jump on the fur loving trend, by looking super dupa fly wearing an Isabel Marant Fall 2009 fur coat paired with a grey tank top, Stella McCartney ombre jeans, a grey fedora hat and Brian Atwood suede peep-toe ankle boots.

This is the second time Victoria has been seen wearing the coat.

She was first spotted wearing it in London when the Beckham’s went to see the play “Jersey Boys” at the Prince Edward Theater before Christmas.

I love this airport chic look, but I’m tiring of reading that Victoria doesn’t wear real fur.

Like her Antonio Berardi fur jacket this is as real as it comes.

I laughed out loud at the suggest on one Victoria Beckham forum that Victoria has designers custom faux fur pieces for her.

This is a woman who own a Himalayan Birkin which is made using the skins of 3 crocodiles. Plus she’s even carrying a new burgundy crocodile Birkin – a Christmas gift from David I’m guessing.

So is she such a hypocrite to spare the foxs, but not the crocodiles?

Victoria and her fans want to make sure the non fur lovers dont roll up and dump a paint can on her. I dont blame her for that. She is rockin the heck out of that coat. Or maybe it is the chapeau that i am lovin.

fc well said. By the way, vic doesn’t care what other people say about her clothes. Why should she? BUT i am – and so many people are- so happy that someone at least ALWAYS say the truth. And that is you.

    So funny!
Well, crocodiles are dangerous, while the foxs are so sweeeet. So it´s make sense!
I really hope she´s never said that, because it´s just ridiculous.
BTW, i always asked myself IF all those fur haters are vegetarians?

I laughed out loud at her wearing Stella McCartney with fur! Stella is probably pissed as she never wears fur or makes it in her clothing lines!

VB always said she doesn’t wear fur, yet she does. And good point for crocodiles bags!

Thank you for writing this. I use to follow your VB blog and I really enjoyed it. But for some time now I feel like she is being ridiculous. This is such an occassion, does she really think that we believe that she doesnt wear fur? Or when she is out and about with hardly any clothes on and the rest of the family wear hats, gloves and thick coats! What is this about? When she finally wears something colorful it is December and the right time to wear black. To be a fashion icon is to wear the right clothes at the right occassion and she doesnt do that anymore.

      thanks for your comment.

She does have up and down moments. I just hope she can get fully back on track and just own up to wearing fur instead of spinning lies.

I am vegan, so am just very anti-fur, anti-leather, and animal skin. But then again, it is NOT my right to judge anyone on what they wear. I can only decide and comment on what I wear, carry. Personally, I would never wear fur, but then, she likes it, so be it.

Love, love, love the look. She always look magnificent.

OMG I looooove this! That coat is to die for [sadly :'( ]These fur posts make me want to buy that faux fur vest from the Rachel Zoe collection I’ve had my eye on for a while now! I think I just might! Ebay here I come!

That Birkin is the business, and I must say, I’m pretty shocked she’s still wearing those Stella McCartney jeans! Very shocking coming from Mrs. Posh.

    xoxo

If I was Stella, I would banish VB from wearing my clothes. Stella is a strict vegan so for VB to wear REAL fur is very hypocrtical and unsympathetic.

She’ll always be tacky to me.

I think what’s more hilarious is this picture of the peta member people are trying to paint on VB. The girl doesn’t eat meat because she care for animals, she did it because of her diet. Just like the faux fur drama, she didn’t wear fur (at some point) because she hasn’t found the perfect fur, the moment she did, the idea of not wearing fur went down the way of her singing career. I’m sure she tolerates animals, but no peta member in VB land. Still love her

I do not think all the people who have issues with fur, will have the same issue with crocodile or reptile accessories.. Because fur clothing usually requires torturing the living animals.. and the reptile or leather skins clothing.. don’t, so the sources of the hating fur vs reptile thing.. are not the same..

  14. mol January 5, 2010 at 18:37 #

I don’t wear fur, but do still have leather objects/clothes (I hope RealG is right); I do eat meat, but not a lot and it’s all free range, organic and from local to my area farmers. Like most people, I struggle to do the right thing, but don’t always succeed. We are not always hypocrites when we contradict ourselves, just falible humans.

There are many things I like about VB, and then other things I don’t (her Birkin bag obsession being one!). For sure, I don’t like it if she has said she doesn’t wear fur and then she does; did she changed her mind and forget to announce it (?!) – whatever – but I’m not fond of the outfit in this post.

Real G isn’t right–there are articles and videos online about the brutal treatment of reptiles for the luxury goods industry, particularly in Indonesia. I won’t go into detail, but you can google it. It’s why many of those goods can’t be purchased in California, for example–there are laws against the import of certain animal products.

    • RealG January 7, 2010 at 06:02 #

Hi Georgia.. you are right, there are some parts on Asia, where they even eat living animals.. But they are not a common issue in the reptile industry.

As far as i know.. one of the main issue with fur of big animals, is that to keep the shine and a lot of features, they will have to be alive when they cutout the skin… That’s not the same thing with reptiles.. they can be dead… and the features of the skin are the same…

I saw the videos of the Indonesia and some other small Asian countries.. but that is not the standard… As always they have a very different point of view of life..

    Love the outfit!!

  17. Laveena January 6, 2010 at 06:35 #

Wow! A fur coat with Stella McCartney jeans.

  18. barbara January 6, 2010 at 23:45 #

I CAN’T HELP BUT consider her tacky. i cant forget all her mistakes. and she still wears things that remind me why i hate her style (im sorry FC, i know you are a fan…) she is always speaking about pushing the envelope and never does that, prefering to stick to those mini dresses and ysl shoes..all those bare legs in the freezing cold. always too dressed up…im sorry but its just unnatural. besides, havent you noticed she always answers the same in all interviews? check out this video of the british fashion awards: she answers something else to what she is asked for, giving a standard statement ive heard from her a million times before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyzJzLZoqb4&feature=player_embedded

    no one notices it?

    • Fashion Critic January 7, 2010 at 00:35 #

Being a huge fan I have noticed

She has a set dialogue no matter what question she is asked.

      Very wooden
