Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: December 2009

Just when I spent all my dosh on Christmas presents, Net-A-Porter have added 3 fab looks onto their virtual shelves this morning.

I’m been in LOVE with Stella McCartney’s floral print dress since she wore it back in June to the “Royal Academy Of The Arts Summer Exhibition Preview Party”.

It’s the first thing I look out for every week on Net-A-Porter and now it’s finally arrived.

Who can forget Ginnifer Goodwin’s Marc Jacobs red palm sequined dress which she wore to “The September Issue” LA screening earlier this year.

It’s a show stopper of a dress if ever I saw one.

The turban is not included but you could have your very own Met Gala moment with Kate Moss’ gold asymmetrical draped lamé Marc Jacobs dress.

Check our Shop Her Closet for these and other great celebrity looks.

The cast of “Nine” were on Oprah recently to promote the musical which will be released after Christmas.

Each actress looked beautiful.

Kate Hudson wore a stunning L’Wren Scott fitted black dress with a pearl necklace.

She was very coy talking about A-Rod when questioned by Oprah.

On Wednesday People.com reported Hudson and A-Rod split a few weeks ago so that was probably why.

Marion Cotillard wore a leopard print Isabel Marant Fall 2009 dress, which has been worn by Eva Herzigova and Shakira.

Penelope Cruz wore a cute white tweed dress with tights.

Nicole Kidman was the one who surprisingly opted for the brightest colour wearing a L’Wren Scott fuchsia headmistress dress we’ve seen in black and white and teal.

Of all these looks, I’m totally in love with Marion.  Penelope’s look is my least favourite as she added tights to such a summery look.

Zhou Xun wears a black and gold embroidered Chanel Resort 2010 dress with a matching cardigan we’ve seen on Isabel Lucas and Anna Mouglalis.

The actress manages to make the cardigan work as she paired her look with Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony multi buckle wedge booties.

Models Philip Huang and Du Juan grace the red carpet with their beautiful presence.

He looked dapper in a black suit with very shiny shoes, whilst Du looked beautiful wearing a Gucci Fall 2009 black one-sleeve dress which has 3 textures including a furry skirt.

Her look was paired with Christian Louboutin Maggie heels which are currently reduced on Matches Fashion.

Model Mo Wandan opted for the uber sexy Versace Fall 2009 plunging gown we’ve seen on Blake Lively.

Blake wore the racy red colour, whereas Mo has opted for a subtle navy colour which is still sexy.

I love those fish scale-style paillettes which decorate this gown.

I expected to see more of these fun Marilyn Monroe print Dolce & Gabbana looks on the red carpet, but they have mostly been confined to editorials and one outing on Molly Sims at the CDFA Awards.

Model Tong Chenjie wore one of those Monroe Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 dresses to this event.

I love the puffy sleeves, but I do wish she’d worn a similar necklace to the runway.

Rapper Eve was the first to wear Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 Whip It LA premiere.

I like it on Eve, but I’m not particularly crazy about the length of the skirt on  Huang Yi.

She should’ve shortened it.

Chinese Director, Actress, Author and Writer Xy Jinglei wore this sophisticated Chanel Resort 2010 strapless dress with a draped detail on the hips.

She wore black leather gloves with her look, and a bejeweled necklace similar to the one presented on the runway.

I prefer the styling on the runway, as I really don’t like Xy’s shoes.

Actress Tong Yao opted for a fun Gucci Fall 2009 blue and black dotted dress.

I love the vibrant blue, the light denier of her tights and the Fendi clutch she shows off so proudly.

Model Li Ai wears the most second most popular Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2009 gown to grace Asian red carpet events.

Like I say every time I see this dress on the red carpet, this is a waldrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

How can you stay supported in this dress?
