i know. i totally cosign. I love her sooo much!
Lucy Liu deserves to be BDOTY. I’m surprised you prefer Anne to Kerry. But this is yr choice.
Happy Holidays!
I adored Anne in this look and even considered her for No.1
Happy holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
Can’t wait to see what you gonna come up with in 2010. Love your blog!!!
“Best Fashion Website Of The Year”……………..
…………….RED CARPET FASHION AWARDS
thanks Maud.
I’m just glad you are sharing and enjoying my obsession.
Happy Holidays x
Wow, That is my favorite look from Michelle Obama in Peter Soronen. I am glad Kerry Washington made your list, even though that wasnt my favorite look for her, I have loved her choices all year. Your pics were pretty different from the voters. I think William Cowper quote fits here “Variety’s the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor” – Happy Holidays
It was mine too even though I love the Jason Wu look the Soronen look blew me away
wowwww i love your end of the year polls!!!
have a nice holidays!!! i’ll miss your uploads during christmas!!!!
xoxo
iona
happy holidays x
Fabulous list, FC. But there was one choice that took me completely by surprise – Sharon Stone. Now that’s one name I did not expect on a RFCA BDOTY list, lol.-
LOL. I understand, but she was outstanding in this gown.
wow…it IS really different and unexpected but my best picks would be Kerry, Mrs O and Zoe! ….stunning as always.Great post anyways.
Happy Christmas and thanks to the RCFA team for the great work done.
Be back next year for more!!! : D
I did say mine was totally different.
thanks. Glad you appreciate our work.
I completely forgot about that Kerry Washington look. She looks amazing! Thanks for the reminder!
I’m surprised to see Daphne Fernandez in the list, but anyway, great great list FCritics!!
enjoy your holidays, and all the best for 2010! I love your site, thanks for running it so wonderfully well!
Thanks Bego.
See you in 2010
Yes! I’m so glad you included Daphne Fernandez. She looked beyond amazing.
The other picks are great too, but I thought DAphne would be forgotten. Happy Holidays, FC and Sophie!
How could I forget Daphne. She was amazing.
Happy Holidays xx
happy holidays FC en Sophie!! Thanks for all the work you’ve put into this website and for making every day a bit more fashionable and fabulous for us.

Now what am I going to look at all day when I’m online? :’(
A great best dressed list, FC, and a great blog this year, too. All the best, and I look forward to seeing you blogging again next year ^_^
thanks.
First week back we have the People’s Choice Awards then Awards season kicks in, so lots of great looks to look forward to.
I would trade your number 8 for January Jones in Atelier Versace at the Emmy Awards!!!
I’m sorry to say that I don’t think Michelle Obama is all that….!!
Strapless?? With those shoulders?? BIG NO NO!!!
She’s way to Buff for my taste!!
I’m hoping that this Obama veneration Ends Soon!!!
Love the surprise of your list – especially the addition of Sharon! And I was so happy to see Daphne L. on the list, as she ranked high on my own personal list. Here’s to next year and thanks for a great 2009!
love ure entire list!!!
Happy holidays ladies.
thanks Nicole Happy Holidays
How sad is it, that the Great Cate is not on your list this year? She really had a quiet year, let’s hope for more of Mrs Blanchett for 2010! And I love your top 4, especially Kerry
Merry Christmas and big thanks for making this wonderful blog!
I love Tilda Swinton – that look was made for her.
Thanks so much RCFA team, you’ve been steadily part of my routine for the past year
Merry Christmas and hope you both have a fabulous new year xxxx
mmm, so your name is catherine. i think you might have told us before but i forgot. anyway, i love your list way better than the reader version. yes, none of the lists included michelle yeoh in green versace but i am happy you remembered anne hathaway’s fantastic valentino moment as well as michelle obama in glittering peter soronen. she looks great in soronen’s designs. diane kruger in marchesa was also amazing. all of these looks definitely deserve to be on this list.
thanks Zoe xx Happy Holidays
*faints* i would never have guessed sharon stone would have been included in your list. dont know how i can cope without my daily fashion fix.
hope you have an amazing christmas and year FC and sophie.
thanks Robbie.
Wishing you an amazing Christmas full of Jimmy Choo shoes xxx
thank you
xoxoxoxoxox
Fantastic list!
Thank you for Tilda and Michelle-my fav looks of the year)
Marry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!!

You are so sweet.
We have so much coming up next year to look forward too.
Yes, yes, a thouand times yes!! Great choices (esp for 1 & 2)!
happy holidays to you both::
I have followed ur site for one whole year~~ and i can only say this site has become my morning coffee…
Happy holidays xxx
Merry Christmas and I enjoy what 2010 has in store for us….
I’m so happy Tilda was on this list. I adored that look. I really wanted to see that Megan Fox purple Donna Karan dress one more time.
One thing I noticed about the Readers list was a severe lack of bold colors. I’m happy you included Anne, Tilda, and Diane on your list. When done well, a bold color can really make a good look great.
Thanks. I know my choices can be kooky, so I was expecting everyone to hate the list.
Yay yay yay!! I so much prefer your list FC… i can agree with more i guess.. hhehee..
I totally forgot about Anne in this outfit but i did love her in it! And i’m so glad Chiling Lin is here too.. she was my choice (well one of them.. hehe)
Also agree with some comments like missing Cate the great but it has been a slow year for her.. and i also noticed that there is none from the big events like Globes or Academy awards.. was that on purpose???
It wasn’t on purpose.
Looking back I remember who disappointed I felt at those events.
The only one who came close from the majors was Olivia Wilde in Reem Acra from the Golden Globes
OOh yeah I still think about that Reem Acra dress..so divine!
Hopefully 2010 will be a better awards season.. especially if Carey Mulligan gets nominated for Best Actress… *sigh* i’ve never seen her in a full gown before.. can’t wait!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year FC and all the readers! It’s been a good fashion year
and to you. Merry Christmas
you have a really really good fashion sense =)
every women is outstanding in her gown.great great picks!
happy holidays and merry christmas!
i am really looking forward to your new critics^^
love your site!!!
Thanks sweetie.
Happy Holidays x
I love that your list is so different to the Readers Choice. I had totally forgotten about how great Anne looked in that Valentino. Thanks so much for all the hard work put in to the site – I can’t belive I only started reading this blog a couple of months ago. Can’t wait for awards season and fashion week. Best wishes for 2010!
Thank you for having this amazing blog, it’s the only one I follow every single day.
And I am so happy that you included Tilda Swinton in Ackermann – that look is fantastic!
Have a very merry Christmas
3rd place – #6
2nd- 7
1ST! – 10!!!!!
I absolutely love your picks! Thank you so much for your blog! I love it and have learned so much about the different designers. My favorite part about awards season is the fashion, so this is the perfect spot to go to get my “fashion fix”.
Happy Holidays FC!
Wow FC, great choices! With the exception of Daphne Fernandez, I agree wholeheartedly that these women deserve the list! My list may have been slightly different but this one is great. Diane is stunning.
You are doing such great work, FC, and Sophie is a great addition. I check all day, every day for the best fashion fix on the web. Thank you for all your time and effort! Happy Holidays! xo
I can’t believe Jennifer Connely in her green Balmain dress is not on both of the lists. I think her look is forgotten since she wore that dress in the very beginning of the year.
I can’t wait for jan 4th. happy holidays everyone
You guys at RCFA are amazing have happy holidays and a good new year!! I dont know were I will go for the daily fashion scoop untill January 4th
hey just wondering if jennifer connelly in balmain had any votes?
just 2.
I had been keeping a list all year which she was on, but the look felt out dated by the time I put the list together.
I will never understand why Lucy Liu is number one, but all the rest I agree with. Anne, Zoe, Diane, Chiling Lin had a fantastic year.
Merry Christmas, FC! Your blog is the best and I will be patiently awaiting January 4.
I LOVE your list FC. Only, I’d put Anne on Number 1. That Valentino dress and the red coat had made me swoon back then, and it still does. Also, am so glad you put Tilda and Sharon on the BDOTY list, based only on the clothes, not the people.
Happy Holidays!
Much love.
happy holidays! lucy liu looks fab! can’t wait till jan 4th!
I think we have come to a consensus, I would also choose Lucy Liu as No 1.
Merry Christmas Catherine! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, Happy New Year
with love from India

I MISS YOU ALLREADY!!!! BUHUUU!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and have a Happy New Year!
Thank you for all your hard work!
I agree with your #1! I do prefer Kerry over Anne though
Hi everyone and merry christmas… Fc u ve just been the best this whole year!! U ve entertained us with a real critical eye and some fabulous pictures… I like your list better than the Reader’s one as it is less expected! I love Tilda s look, very strong and it really looks made for her! Chiling Lin was my #1 this year so i m glad u chose her in your top 10!
Anyways, happy hollidays to everybody and again thank you very much FCs for such a great work
With love xxx
Adrien
Merry Christmas and Happy New year FC and Sophie!!
Thank you for all your work through this year!
Happy Holidays.
Kerry Washington # 1 on my list
Hapy Holidays!!
I love all these dresses, but my heart this years went to Drew Barrymore in the Andrew NG white maxidress with embeded colar. It’s my dream look.
I like this list MUCH better. Most of your choices made me go WTF, but that’s exactly why I like it. Definitely not predictable. You just do your thing and don’t care what anyone else says. *thumbs up*
Not that anyone cares or anything, but one of my fav looks this year was Diane Kruger wearing that green polka dotted Jason Wu dress 2 months ago. It was one of my fav dresses of the season and she wore it beautifully. Actually, I simply adored most of her looks this year. She’s definitely one of my favs on the red carpet.
Happy holidays, FC! Can’t wait for the awards season. Wouldn’t be the same without you,
Amazing!!! Amazing!!! year for fashion and RCFA, love it! keep it up!
great choices FC! i wasn’t sure about Anne , but your taste is great as always. Hope you are having a good time in those holidays.
lucy liu? really? i can’t take this.
I agree, nice dress but not BDOTY material for me either…
But some other choices are really good!
If you don’t like my choices fine.
I could have done a list similar to the readers choice just to please everyone, but I decided to put up those which I liked. It does say Critic’s Choice after all.
FC! I’m bored
I miss your posts!
Happy New Year remain the best blog in all internet!!!
Kerry <3
Diane <3
Looooooooooooooooooooooooooove!!
