Runway To Late Show with David Letterman – Natalie Portman In Stella McCartney

I’ve been dying for someone to wearing a look from Stella McCartney’s Spring 2010 collection, and that honour went to Natalie Portman.

The actress was on the show to promote her new movie “Brothers” also starring Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal, which hits theater’s December 4.

Letterman called it “The finest movie made in the last 12, 20 years”, in fact he gushed non stop about the movie during her interview.

Natalie is radiant in her strapless blue mini Stella McCartney Spring 2010 button down dress, with fold detail on the neckline and an A-line skirt.

Her hair is swept to one-side with a jeweled clip decorating her hair, plus she wears her dress with the same purple Aldo heels which she wore with her blue Jason Wu dress.

Unfortunately the screen-grab isn’t doing this dress any justice, so please view the you tube video below.

I WISH this was worn on the red carpet, it has to be one of her best ever looks and Natalie has had plenty of fine moments.

Now I’m the one gushing.

Any idea who made the earrings she was wearing there? I would love to find a pair but can’t find out who made them or where to buy them. Help!!

FC, was this dress simply a loan to Natalie? She arrived wearing jeans so I’m wondering about this. When Emma Watson was on the Letterman show, which you also wrote about, she too arrived in different clothes than the one she wore on the show. Did Natalie change back into jeans when she left? Thanks for any info.

It’s hard to say. But I guess because of the weather she arrived in jeans – changed for the show – then changed back into her jeans to go home

This “Brothers” – movie is originally danish and called “Brødre”. Go see that instead of the american one. Great acting.

she looks lovely as always, the dress is beautiful but i’m gushing more on the colour..perfect!!
only one thing, i doubt those are aldo shoes, since she doesn’t wear anything with leather

    • Marvel December 1, 2009 at 16:53 #

She does have her own line of animal-friendly shoes, so those might actually be hers

      • mm December 1, 2009 at 17:24 #

Yes she designed vegan shoes for Te Casan. But the shoe line didnt sell very well. I believed the company has closed the SoHo store in NY. And the shoes she is wearing dont look like any from that line.
