Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: November 2009

One dress, two very different looks.

This Gucci Fall 2009 green and black glittering mini dress from the Fall 2009 collection was worn by tennis ace Serena and actress Evan, who both attended separate Gucci events.

Serena wore hers to a cocktail party benefiting “FFAWN” at Gucci’s Fifth Avenue store in New York City, whilst Rachel wore hers to the “Gucci Icon-Temporary Flash Sneaker Store launch” a few weeks later.

Evan opted to accessorize using the wide runway belt plus a cuff and strappy sandals. I love how the colour brings out colour of Evan’s eyes.

Evan looks great, but Serena looks amazing.

Her skin is glowing, her make-up is flawless and this her best look ever so she wins for me.

Even though many comments on Kate Beckinsale’s post was that she’s boring and predictable on the red carpet, she still won the readers poll.

This is because Kate has perfected red carpet dressing and this was evident with her looking amazing in Andrew GN. No longer does she over dress, she consistent and glamorous at every event.

I was blown away from Dakota Fanning wearing Valentino on the red carpet, upstaging the whole main cast.

After watching “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” movie this evening, I’m even more in awe of the teenage actress.

She has confidence beyond her years, plus her style is graceful without looking too mature.

Even without the “Prada book launch” in Beverly Hills, Miuccia Prada would still have been the Designer of the Week as she dressed many stars at the “MOCA New 30th Anniversary Gala”.

The actresses looked perfect in Prada, and mischievous in Miu Miu.

Both Carey Mulligan and Eva had custom-made pieces to suit their individuals styles, whilst Christian Ricci wore 2 Prada looks and Chloe Sevigny wore 2 Miu Miu looks this week.

Miu Miu is aimed to a younger consumer, but most of the stars picked classic Prada pieces for their red carpet looks.
