Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: November 2009

I always love it when celebrities wear high street brands.

Last week we saw Katy Perry and Rihanna battle it out in H&M. This time we have Katherine Jenkins and Lauren Bosworth both wearing French Connection.

Katherine Jenkins looked very pretty in pink when she attended the “Samsung Pink Ribbon Breast Awareness Day” at Westfield Shopping center in London last month.

I wasn’t crazy about her black Trib Two’s, but I did love those stunning silver earrings.

Lauren Bosworth partied with Stephanie Pratt and Lauren Conrad at “Maxim’s Launch Party For Assassin’s Creed II” recently wearing the same dress is black.

I’m sure the ladies had no interest in the computer game, but it gave them all an excuse to dress up.

Lo kept her look very simple by only adding black ankle boots to her look.

I dislike both footwear choices, but I love the bright pink colour on Katherine so she wins for me.

This dress is available to purchase in both pink and black from French Connection’s website.

Eva Mendes was the belle of this ball wearing a black strapless Monique Lhuillier Spring 2010 dress with gold detailing scattered down the bodice and skirt.

The beautiful actress kept the looks simple, by just adding peep-toes and styling her hair into a classic updo.

Like Serena Williams, Laila Ali has figures out how to dress her athletic body on the red carpet.

I adore her in this berry Tadashi Shoji Fall 2009 with a basket weave bodice.

Laila completed her look with a gold crystal clutch by Swarovski.

Kate Hudson keeps her look very simple wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier LBD paired with snake-skin heels.

Jenna Fischer dress is interesting Etro ensemble including a metallic skirt and embroidered asymmetrical top, but I’m not so crazy about her hair.

It looks a bit wispy on top.

This event happened before the AMAs, so it was here that Carrie Underwood showed off her new shorter ‘do.

Known for her big hair, this is a refreshing change.

The Country singer wore a cobalt blue strapless gown, with a stunning embellished on the waist band.

A Swarovski clutch and a complementary glittering necklace completed the look.

Enough already.

I’m not so crazy about Kristin Cavallari’s hair and make-up, but I did like her ensemble.

‘The Hills’ star wore a black Dolce & Gabbana bustier paired with a Chanel belt and a 3.1 Phillip Lim zipper skirt from the Spring 2009 collection.

Stephanie Pratt sparkled wearing a blue sequined French Connection dress which makes her baby blues pop.

She paired her stunning dress with a navy blue clutch and YSL Trib Two’s.

This has to be one of Stephanie’s best red carpet looks. She really stepping things and becoming more polished.

After a few red carpet appearance sans tights Leona Lewis wears them on this occasion.

The star opted for a colourful sequined Catherine Malandrino skirt which she paired with a black top and Vivienne Westwood lilac Lady Dragon heart slingbacks.

I’m not at all fond of this look and its the top that’s at fault.

Everything else feels so well thought out, but the top feels like it was thrown on at the last minute.

After a summer flirtation with being blonde, Audrina Patridge returns to her luscious brunette locks.

The reality tv star wore a silver Rachel Roy dress and grey YSL Trib Two slingback heels.

I love the way the pockets drape which adds plenty of flair to this Rachel Rachel Roy number.

She look so beautiful.

Monique Coleman opted for a bold chartreuse colour which she loved showing off on this red carpet.

Whitney Port still hasn’t worn her Whitney Eve Spring 2010 collection.  Maybe she’s just waiting for Spring to arrive before she starts wearing it.

Instead she wore a delicate vintage dress paired with Guiseppe Zanotti gold heels to this event.

Like Stephanie, Karina Smirnoff also wore a French Connection dress, but hers was classic black with a asymmetrical front ruffle to add a bit of flair.

What I love most about this look is Karina’s Miu Miu heels which are to die for.
