In February I tried on this Gustavo Cadile Fall 2009 gown on in the designers showroom. It was so beautiful I didn’t want to take it off.

I was so happy when Emily Deschanel wore the stunning tulle gown to the “49th Monte Carlo Television Festival Closing Ceremony” at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo.

She looked breath-taking even though she opted for a black belt, rather than the runway bejeweled belt.

Eva Longoria wore the same dress when she hosted the 2009 ALMA Awards in Los Angeles last month.

Her dress was modified into a one-shouldered dress, as she swept her hair over her other shoulder.

As much as I love both versions, this gown worked better for me as it was intended as a strapless gown so Emily wins for me.

emily wins this for me, the strapless version is better plus eva looks like she is wearing a prom dress and not a designer dress.

    I’d say Emily Deschanel.

Eva is a small woman and I feel like she’s drowning in this dress. Too much fabric for her.

I like the colour of the belt Eva wore her version with but the dress does look that bit better strapless so my vote goes to Emily. Although maybe you FC wore it better when you tried it on?

Eva, you are a beautiful woman you need to look at for what fit you not just buying what is in vogue.

I don’t understand why Eva covered up the neckline. That is one of the prettiest parts of the dress! And you did look great in it, FC :) .

Emily looks like she has a bare foot poking out from under her dress – but she still looks great, and so do you, F.C. – oh for such a long lean body! Which is why Eva can’t pull this off, she is too short and tiny and drowning in this.

  11. Laura says:

Eva’s so tiny; the dress can swallow her. Emily wins for me.

I think the problem is that Eva lives for the drama dresses, the ones with majoeva-va-voom impact, which I love because it proves that she understands what the red carpet is about and what stars should do, but she doesn’t have the frame for it.

She is almost always perfect – makeup, hair, the right amount of bling – but she is so tiny that the dresses she loves just engulfs her.
