AFI Festival is in full swing.
First Charlize Theron wowed us in Christian Dior, now we have the stunning Eva Mendes attending the same festival to promote her new movie “The Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans”.
The actress glided down the red carpet wearing a Chris Benz Spring 2010 multi-coloured plunging dress covered in paillettes.
The long sleeved sexy dress has an asymmetrical hem line with a central split which hugs Eva’s curves.
I can’t help but be jealous of her flawless barely there make-up, as she glows on this red carpet.
Like Charlize no bling necessary, just Brian Atwood Maniac heels and a black gold trimmed clutch to complete the look.
BDOTW is going to be impossible.

My only complaint is her hair but she looks perfect otherwise. BDOTW contender and possibly winner for sure!
She is so beautiful in this. Pretty much anyone else would have over accessorized and ended up looking like a living Christmas ornament.

FC, it looks to me like she has white makeup around her eyes as well. Is this becoming a trend? I mean, I could be wrong, but when I looked at the closeup it appears like there is a dusting of white powder surrounding her eyes.
you are right. It’s a very disturbing trend
I think it’s just under-eye concealer (something to hide bags etc) which happens to show up like that in photos, probably the flash.
Also, there are two reasons I am not in love with this for BDOTW…
1. Her hair is ridiuclously messy. Even looking at the hair pulled back, it looks ratty.
2. The shoes bore me…not trib twos, but they are boring black. She could have done something with a little color I think.

i do remember seeing those same powder eyes on Taraji P Henson at the 2009 13th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony.looks like their taking tips from Elie Saab’s fall 2009 couture runway. if its a trend off the runway, then IT IS ridiculous….

It works. Nude make up, Black heels, messy hair et al… For me It still works. I’m being premature but I’m pretty certain she has my vote this week
P.s Isn’t the white makeup a trick to open up the eyes and make them look brighter/ whiter. It’s not usually supposed to be that obvious though…hmmm
Yes it’s a trick and a good one. Lately though, it seems people have been picking the wrong shade of concealer and they go overboard when they apply it :/
