“Everybody’s Fine” Screening At 2009 AFI Festival

Victoria Beckham like Prabal Gurung has a huge celebrity following.

Drew Barrymore is very much channeling grown up chic these days, as her look has matured.

The good thing is the Drew we all know and love still shines though.

She walked the red carpet last night wearing a well worn Victoria Beckham violet Giral strapless dress with black satin Casadei heels.

I do love the dress on Drew, but the jeweled pin feels unnecessary.

Victoria Beckham and Katherine Jenkins have worn the dress in this rich violet colour, and they have also both worn the black version along with Elle Macpherson.

This is the dialogue as it happened in my mind as I was looking at Kate Beckinsale on this red carpet.

“Kate Beckinsale is stunning, she never lets me down on the carpet. She’s glowing in her J.Mendel Spring 2010 dress. I wish I had her legs…..” THUD.

That thud stopped at her feet. Seriously Kate, why?

We’ve established that YSL Trib Two’s are the most comfortable shoes in the world, but they’re not doing any justice to her pretty marble jacquard strapless structural J.Mendel dress.

A contrast like this can be great on the red carpet, but this on this occasion it doesn’t work for me.

This is the second dress very similar to this one that i have felt i s too long on Drew. I do love the color but dont like the dress on her.

I agree, too long, makes her look a little too ‘mature’.

Drew’s jeweled pin adds a new touch to the dress, but I do think the dress is too long. A few inches shorter would have looked so much better!

    She is very predictable.

That dress looks good on drew, I wish it wasn’t that long.

i don’t like the length of Drew’s dess, i would have prefered it a little bit shorter. Kate looks amazing, the only problem are the shoes, but i forgive her a bit: at least they’re not black!

I agree with mm, the colour is really nice but Drew looks swamped in it…her stylist should have taken it up a few inches, and they could have done something more inspiring with her hair.

I’m assuming she is going for a more ‘grown up’ look

Dre’s dress should be a lil’ shorter, but she does look stunning. She looks great in classic shapes but still keeps her cool attitude wearing them. What a great year this was for her style-wise.

    I don’t like Kate Beckinsale’s J. Mendel. It looks a bit prom-dress-tacky to me.

The length of Drew’s dress bothers me. A few inches shorter and I would’ve liked that look.

I don’t mind Kate’s Trib Twos that much cause they’re not black but yeah she could’ve picked better shoes.

I think she could have cut the dress a bit it, would look sexier. But she does look very sophisticated. Amazing :)

I would have shortend Drew’s dress. Kate Beckinsale is finally NOT wearing a gown!

    They both look gorgeous!
