Social Events Of The Week

Curtis School Summer Fair, LA

Isn’t it too hot to be wearing head-to-toe leather in LA?

Not for Victoria Beckham it seems.

The mother of 3 was spotted out in LA wearing a Balmain Spring 2009 leather jacket, with Dsquared² Fall 2009 leather pants.

“Dare” Screening, East Hampton

Emmy Rossum is giving us so much variety on the red carpet lately, that it’s hard not to be impressed.

The brunette beauty looked gorgeous on the red carpet wearing a teal Lela Rose Spring 2009 fitted dress, with a ruffled detail on the shoulder.

Her look was paired with gold accessories including Christian Louboutin Fortuna platform sandals and a gold clutch.

The Art Of Elysium’s GENESIS Event, LA

Sophia Bush should really be the campaign girl for Max Azria as she is – along with Amanda Bynes – so loyal to the brand.

Just last week she wore a BCBG Max Azria gown, this weekend she wore a Max Azria lace mini dress and for this event she wore a black and white Herve Leger bandage dress from the Resort 2010 collection.

Burgundy suede Trib Two’s complete this stunning look.

19th Annual ‘Divas Simply Singing!’ AIDS Benefit Concert, LA

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph paired purple strappy sandals with her purple Tadashi Shoji Fall 2009 satin draped dress.

The colour is exquisite.

Women Of The Year Lunch, London

I love Katherine Jenkins’ French Connection sequined dress.

It’s cute, young and fun plus it has shoulder pads, but the hair really lets her down.

It looks like she had an electric shock.

Like almost everyone else on this post she wore Trib Two’s.

10th Anniversary of Estee Lauder Raising Funds for Breast Cancer, New York

Last year Elizabeth Hurley seemed to have her sensitivity chip missing when she arrived at the Global Illumination Initiative to raise awareness for breast cancer in London wearing a breast enhancing Giambattista Valli dress.

For this Breast Cancer event she was dressed demurely wearing a pink sequined fitted Naeem Khan dress paired with nude heels.

The Surfrider Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Gala, LA

Audrina Patridge is the 4th person on this post to pair their look with YSL Trib Two’s proving that when it comes to walking the red carpet, these YSL Trib Two’s are still as popular as they were 2 seasons ago.

This is due to the fact that they are so comfortable to walk in.

The “actress” wore a sexy silver Obakki Spring 2010 strapless ruche bodice dress and carried a matching clutch.

I’m sorry, but Sophia Bush bores me in these Max Azria. Maybe that’s because Max Azria is a boring designer. She needs to mix it up a bit.

Really? Trib twos are that comfortable?

    • Fashion Critic October 14, 2009 at 08:10 #

yes they really are and I tried on a half size too small

Sophia looks fab but I’m starting to I think she gets those Max Azria dresses for free lol. All jokes aside, she has the good (fashion) taste of picking Max’s most interesting pieces unlike Amanda.

I love Liz Hurley’s dress … so much more appropriate for the occasion! And I like sparkly things 🙂

emmy rossum, so surprising! don’t think i’ve ever seen her looking THIS good, she even wears the dress better than the model, great achievement!

victoria, as usual she makes 2 good pieces look bad. head to toe designer can be okay but sometimes its just tacky. did she seriously wear that to a school fair?

emmy, gorgeous as usual i love that colour on her.

sophia, this is actually a nice herve leger dress. lately not that many people seem to be wearing them (thank god)

sheryl, gorgeous colour on her, the detail on the dress is also nice.

katherine, love the dress but the hair and shoes are shocking ( 😛 )

elizabeth, she looks fantastic, the dress is fabulous.

audrina, she really has been doing well on the red carpet. but im not into the dress, shoes and clutch matching though.

are those YSL trib twos really comfortable? they look really uncomfortable.

    • Fashion Critic October 13, 2009 at 17:11 #

      yes they are.

They are THE most comfortable 6ins heels I have ever walked in.

Love Sophia’s outfit, its not a typical Herve Leger dress. But slightly disappointed she wore a Herve Leger dress.

Only ol’ crazy Victoria would wear leather head to toe… doesn’t she know that’s a big fashion no no?!

Emmy Rossum – looks stunning! I love everything about her look from the dress to accessories. I vote BDOTW!!!

The colour of that Sheryl’s dress is exquisite indeed.

Elizabeth Hurley – there is something off-putting about that dress. It’s too shiny I think…

Sophia Bush looks fab as always.

Audrina *yawn* – why on earth is she famous…
