Runway To X Factor Week 1 – Cheryl Cole In Atelier Versace

OMG.

That is what I said when I saw Cheryl Cole take the stage on the X Factor with her fellow judges Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Simon Cowell on Saturday night.

I would’ve expected Cheryl to wear a this Atelier Versace Spring 2009 strapless gold embellished dress to the finale show, but Mrs Cole wanted to wow us from the start and she did just that.

The only thing I wondered was how was she going to sit in that dress. The skirt has a bird cage like structured skirt and those seats look so narrow.

I half expected the camera to pan to her and see her in another dress.

I can only assume the dress has some kind of collapse mechanism to allow the wearer to sit.

The look was paired with gold leopard print heels from her favourite shoe designer Rupert Sanderson.

BDOTW contender for sure.

Her hair was styled into a loose single plait which was swept across one shoulder, which seems to be inspired by Alexander Wang’s Spring 2010 models.

Sorry it took so long post this. I had to make sure I proper rights to these pictures as I didn’t want to be sued by peeps at X Factor. X Factor posts will be earlier next week.

Anyone see the dress Alexandra Burke wore on the Sunday show? Wow as well..she looked amazing.

its nice but better on the model, she always seems to make stuff look like a little girl playing dress up.

Thats one stunning dress – not sure Cheryl is the best person for it, the cage effect translates better on someone with thin legs, as per model on the pic on the left hand side, but she still does look great, just not as dazzled as it would have been had it been someone with thinner legs and also her cage has a slightly altered shape to the original one on the model, i prefer the shape on the model.

you’re right, someone with skinnier legs would have taken this dress to another level.

i would have loved, loved, loved to see victoria beckham in this dress paired with some gold strappy sandels and a loose hairdo like the one she had at the burberry show.

The dress is cute, the skirt seems even bigger than on the model! I love her hair like that, I’ve been trying to grow my hair long to plait it in a similar way but alas my hair will never be as beautiful and long as Cheryl Cole’s!

    • christian October 12, 2009 at 16:25 #

she has extensions, that’s why its so long and glossy.

I really like Cheryl from the waist up (as the second picture shows) – not so much from the waist down – but I think the outfit is spoilt by her choice of shoes.

I heart both her hair and her dress! Cheryl is so gorgeous! She is totally going to be my BDOTW vote! :D
