When I first learnt of this event I was really excited to see some great red carpet action, then I saw Lindsay Lohan.

We’ll have to wait until the Ungaro Spring 2010 show on Sunday, but her black lace panel jumpsuit and sequined wrap could very well be a preview of her new collection.

Lindsay looks very happy here, but I wonder how happy she will be when she learns that many buyers have declined their invitations to the Ungaro show due to her participation.

It may not be the sisterly thing to do, but it’s the right thing to do.

Carine Roitfeld wore the same vintage YSL dress, black blazer and Alaia heels she wore to the Burberry Spring 2010 presentation.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld wore the same white Alexander Wang Spring 2009 white jersey dress we have seen on her many times before.

And Anna Wintour wore that snake-skin coat we have seen on her a few times recently.

So what I thought was going to be a great event, turned into a complete wash out.

What were they thinking at Ungaro when they hired her? That all the buyers and the fashion media would welcome her in the world of Parisian fashion? I don’t know, maybe she’ll actually give new notoriety to Ungaro, but the premises are just wrong.

Lindsay looks terrible. I’d be embarrassed to hired her…. the lace top with horrible black pants PLUS her horrible, horrible makeup. Shame, because she has such a pretty face.

I don’t mind that Carine (and her daughter) and Anna W. are repeating themselves. I think they are doing it deliberately. After all, every fashion editor on the planet is going on and on about having key (and expensive) designer pieces that will last forever (well, at least one season!), and so at least they are walking the walk they are so adamantly talking. Also, I don’t mind Lindsay’s outfit per se, it’s just that I feel icky and sad every time I see her – once a real talent, now wasted….

Icky and sad…that’s an apt description of how I feel when looking at her. Poor thing. If she had decent parents, she would probably be doing a lot better.

I would assume they are polite to each other, but I can’t imagine Anna air kissing her.
