Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: September 2009

Selena Gomez looked elegant on the red carpet wearing a stone Marchesa Resort 2010 strapless gown, with an embellished bodice.

I love the gown, but I would have loved to see her wear something more colourful.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler looks radiant wearing a coral J. Mendel Resort 2009 gown.

I love the textured ruffles on the bodice of the dress, and her gold clutch.

Lisa Edelstein embroidered halter neckline is the most stunning feature of her teal Carlos Miele Fall 2009 gown.

It’s been a while since we last saw her on the red carpet, but she always look fantastic.

Mary Lynn Rajskub was one of my favourites at this event.

I love the colour of her strapless gown, the thigh-high split and her silver strappy sandals.

Ashley Tisdale was more MTV Awards than Creative Emmy Awards, but this aqua blue strapless dress works for her.

She’s young and having fun with her look.

A studded black belt and YSL Trib Two’s complete the look.

Emily Osment opted for a satin midnight blue cowl neck BCBG Max Azria gown, embellished on the straps to add some sparkle to her look.

Christian Siriano’s Spring 2010 collection is the only presentation I have seen this season were the designer got a standing ovation. He also received the loudest cheer.

The collection started off with nudes paired with pink pieces which was delicate and ultra feminine. The soft pink doesn’t really show in the pictures though.

Then the collection moved onto marine blues, starting with aqua then moving onto more dramatic blues for a real under the sea feel. Bold red and orange pieces followed.

The collection featured cute mini dresses which were strapless and asymmetrical. Shorts were paired with silk blouses, large brim hats we’ve seen in previous collections, and dramatic gowns. Hopefully Emmy bound.

Sessilee Lopez worked her flamenco style gown, whilst another model literally carried her nude and red tulle gown which had a magnificent train.

Both drew gasps, but not as much as the silk chiffon-layered goddess gown. It really was the wow moment of the show.

I was very impressed with this presentation.

Alexis Bleldel’s dress was a Christian Siriano Spring 2010 preview, but her look differs from the runway.

The runway version had one sleeve and a tulip shaped skirt.

So much happened yesterday so I closed the poll early.

Even had I given this poll a few more hours to run, I’m sure Alexis Bleldel would have still won.

You guys fell in love with her Christian Siriano Spring 2010 ensemble which she paired with red hot Dior heels.

I fell in love with Kate Beckinsale in Jil Sander.

The simple sophistication of the strapless navy dress and Kate’s flawless beauty won me over.

A lot of people thought that Jason Wu’s Fall 2009 collection was aimed at a mature customer after dressing Michelle Obama.

For Wu’s Spring 2010 collection he reverted back to more youthful girlie girl looks, which cover everything from cute dresses, to tweed pant suits.

There were no gowns, but cute cocktail dresses, knitwear, outwear, and daywear were presented.

I loved the classic cinched in waists, the feather pieces which added elegance, the youthful shorter hemlines and the vast array of bright colours, punchy patterns, and interesting textures.

This collection was edgier and sexier than past seasons. I expect to see many of the pieces on the red carpet.

The colour palette included sunflower yellow, pretty pinks and hot metallic.

Kerry Washington was in the front row looking so cute wearing a strapless dress with a tulip skirt and orange bodice from Jason Wu’s Resort 2010 collection.

Amanda Peet opted for a nude tiered Fall 2009 dress which she paired with tights and two tone heels.
