Pre-Party

With her hair tightly pulled back Paula Patton was a vision of pure loveliness at this event wearing an Jason Wu cream draped dress with gold metallic dots.

The amazing dress is paired with a stunning statement statement necklace, a black belt and strappy sandals.

Mary J Blige becomes the 4th celebrity to wear Victoria Beckham’s Carmontelle grey pencil dress with a peplum at the waist and structured shoulders.

I’m really love this look on Mary.  She can go from ghetto fab, to chic quite easily.

Her look is paired with Michael Kors multi-buckle heels.

Have we gone back in time?

Mariah Carey’s ultra tight curly having me thinking back to her ‘Vision of Love’ video.

Another thing that hasn’t changed from then is her love for LBDs.

Press Conference

Paula’s second look was a liberty print Zac Posen Fall 2009 dress.

I love how she fills the dress more than the runway model and the tan pumps.

I think a belt sitting just above the ruffle detail would’ve made me love this look even more.

Mariah Carey and singer Mary J. Blige both worked dark tight long sleeved dresses, to show off their beautiful figures.

Earlier this summer Donatella Versace attended the “Grazia Party” at Villa Necchi in Milan.

The designer was wearing a gold asymmetrical dress from her Spring 2009 collection which she had modified from a bell-shaped skirt to a pencil skirt.

Gwyneth Paltrow attended “Seinfeld’s Baby Buggy Event” this month wearing the runway version.

You see Gwynie has great legs, which is why she could have rocked her Grammy’s Versace dress sans tights.

As much as I love Donatella’s version, I love the youthful elegance the shorter version give Gwynie so she wins for me.

Gossip Girl starts tonight in the US and I’m so happy to be in New York to watch the season’s premiere, but unfortunately I will have to wait months to see the rest of the series back in the UK.

The picture above is the Season 3 Gossip Girl cast photo. The boys are looking very handsome especially Ed Westwick. The girls all look beautiful too.

In the picture Jessica Szohr wore an animal print dress.

Rock chick wannabee Taylor Momsen wore a strapless two tone sequin dress, whilst Leighton Meester wears a black embellished Elie Saab Fall 2009 dress.

Without meaning to be crude, the only person that really sticks out is Blake Lively.

The rest seem to fade into the background as Blake works the hell out of her palliette covered teal Versace dress.

Was it a coincidence that she is wearing a teal blue plunging dress and the rest are wearing darker colours?

The show airs tonight on CW @ 8pm/9pm central.

Lady Gaga is known as a pop singer, but more often associated it’s her very creative outfits which get the most attention and this was definitely the case last night at the VMAs.

She had many costume changes from her Jean Paul Gaultier red carpet gown, to her red lace onesie when she collected an award, to this space-aged sliver one-shoulder body suit she wore in the press room.

The Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 Couture corseted body suit has voluminous hips, with the same padded detail on her shoulder.

She paired her look with black shimmering boots.

Yigal Azrouel’s Spring 2010 streetwise collection was all about bold shapes.

Asymmetric straps and geometric cut-outs ruled this presentation.

The colour palette consisted of greys, nudes, black, white and lime.

The streetwise tougher element came from the summer weighted leather jackets which had zips going in many directions.

We have seen a lot of minis this fashion week, and at this show they featured sheer inserts that gave the illusion of being sleeveless, others were constructed from slashes of fabric patched together and of course others were cut-out on the shoulders an the waist.

This was the first presentation I’ve attended with menswears included. The pieces had a surfer cool dude feel to them. Rolled up pants, shorts and stripy tops.
