Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Oh Audrey Tautou.

Only YOU can take a piece from that hideous Chanel Fall 2009 Couture collection and make me fall head over heels in love.

The French actress blew me away wearing an asymmetrical white dress, with one black sequinned shoulder detail which wraps around the back of the dress.

I love that she paired her dress with dove grey shoes instead of predictable black heels, and I love the Elvis style quiff she has going on.

Which look do you prefer from Audrey as a BDOTW contender?  Lanvin or Chanel Couture?

At the Toronto Film Festival, Audrey wore a very cute Miu Miu bustier dress with ankle boots.

The metallic dress is from the Fall 2009 collection, but wasn’t a runway dress.

I love the way it shimmers, and I’m loving that she switches up her crop every time she hits the red carpet. She never bores me as she always gives us something new.

LOVE her.

Milla Jovovich shimmered in a Roberto Cavalli Resort 2009 mini flapper dress, when she walked the red carpet at ”The Cavalli Card Party” during Fall 2009 Milan Fashion Week back in March.

The actress paired her look with a leather jacket and black pumps.

Paris Hilton arrived at the MTV screening of her “Paris, Not France” documentary in California late July.

Paris sparkled from head-to-toe pairing her dress with her favourite Le Silla shoes, plus some stunning jewels including a diamond bracelet and diamond earrings.

I’m so tired of people toughening up pretty dresses, so Paris wins for me.

For the first time in a loooong time I really like how Mischa Barton looks.

Gone is that grungy dishevelled mess, for a pretty feminine look.

Her hot pink Zac Posen crepe jersey gown with cut-out details is really striking, the cut flatters and the silver cuffs are a nice accessory.

It’s been a while since Mischa was a contender for Best Dressed Of The Week, but she certainly deserves it with this stunning display.

I must admit I didn’t know who Sara Paxton was until I saw her wearing the SAME Giles Fall 2009 dress which Victoria Beckham wore for ‘Fashion Nights Out’.

Did she know Victoria Beckham had previously worn this dress? Of course she did.

Did she wear it because she knew that all the attention would be on Mischa and she wanted her 15 minutes in the spotlight? Of course and why the hell not.

I personally think she looks fabulous in the dress, but I’m not at all keen on her Alejandro Ingelmo woven slingbacks.

Demi Moore continues to drink from that fountain of youth.

The actress looks stunning wearing a grey satin Grecian mini dress.

Ashley Madekwe wore a cute mini dress with long ruffled sleeves.

She paired her dress with those Christian Louboutin lace open-toe booties we recently saw Sarah Jessica Parker wearing on the Sex And The Cityset.

Rachel Roy’s Spring 2010 collection was inspired by the ‘40s screen sirens, ‘70s chic, and the ‘90s power suit.

The designers presentation statement was “elegant, strong and polished”.

Check, check and triple check. Mission very much accomplished.

The collection was full of sophisticated wearable pieces for every type of woman.

Roy’s focused on strong tailoring and draping. The collection was feminine, yet supremely powerful.

There were pants suits, skirt suits, blouses, fitted dresses, cropped jackets, tulip skirts and a mustard all-in-one.

The colour palette was very interesting. First up were a selection of soft neutral ivory and grey pieces, then there was an amazing burst of vibrant colours from mustard to cobalt blue to violet.

Every garment had a sleek fluidity about it due to the draping.

It all felt very effortless and seeing a very relaxed Rachel at the show this only confirmed that fact.

All the models in the show wore Rachel Roy for Manolo Blahnik heels, a collaboration that has been going for some time now. The heels were thonged sandals decorated with chains or studs, or pumps. All keeping in the strong powerful feminine mode.

Stunning collection. I was going gaga over the colourful pieces.

Audrey Tautou wore Chanel for her last “Coco Before Chanel” premiere, but for the LA premiere she opted for another Parisian fashion label – Lanvin.

The modern cut of this black Lanvin Fall 2009 dress is outstanding. Simple yet so elegant and incredibly chic.

She accessorized with a thin patent leather belt, black pumps and a cute hair accessory.

It was at the party where Audrey opted for a head-to-toe Chanel look.

The actress wore a sexy sparkling silver metallic knit dress from the 2010 Cruise Collection.

Oooh. I don’t know which I love more, but the Lanvin may just edge it for sheer elegance.

I’m so grateful Eva Longoria is keeping her cute sassy little dresses phase. The LBD and tuxedo phase didn’t sit well with me.

This is how I prefer Eva.

The pint-size ‘Desperate Housewives’ star looked stunning wearing a white pleated organza strapless Marchesa dress with a gold embroidered waist band.

I love the colour against her skin.

Gold peep-toes and a sweeping updo complete the look.

Dania Ramirez stepped onto the red carpet wearing a playful LBD by Ina Soltani.

The gorgeous actress looked glam in the black one shoulder taffeta mini dress with floral appliqué detail cascading from the strap to the bodice and a ruched hem.

Paulina Rubio paired a sexy little aqua dress with a leather jacket and YSL Fall 2008 gold platformed heels.

Nice dress, but did she really need to wear that leather jacket?

Jennifer Morrison kept her look very simple wearing a white kimono sleeved dress with gold peep-toes.
