Runway To Wembley Stadium – Girls Aloud In Preen

Last week Cheryl Cole and her Girls Aloud band mates put on a spellbinding show at London’s Wembley Stadium supporting Coldplay.

I thought Girls Aloud supporting Coldplay was a bit strange as their music couldn’t be more different, but Chris Martin had been speaking of his admiration for Girls Aloud in an interview with Q magazine back in July.

The girls set list included their mega hits ‘Sound of the Underground’, ‘Biology’, ‘Love Machine’ and my favourite ‘Something Kinda Ooooh’.

The girls all looks beautiful wearing gorgeous pastel Preen dresses which had been modified from the runway.

Only Kimberly Walsh’s (second from the left) dress has stayed true to it’s original colour scheme, and was no doubt the inspiration for the rest of the modifications.

Do you prefer the modified dresses or the originals?

    WOW.

I prefer the modified ones – I think it’s great when a group is dressed in same colours.

I prefer the original to Cheryl Cole’s version. Nadine Coyle also could’ve opted with the original. The rest all work. I love how they color schemed.

I only really like Nicola and Cheryl’s modified dresses (I love the skirt part of Cheryl’s in particular) – I prefer the originals to Nadine and Sarah’s dresses.

I like the originals better but I think they did a good job with the modified dresses so it would be more colorful and fit the band better.

I really like all of theirversions. They are a pop grup so I think if they wore all black it mightve seemed to ‘goth like’. I really love Kim’s!

NO modified versions on this for me! I only like the last 2 dresses of the original though so the modifieds were really a let down

I dont like the modified versions. I just had an 80s flashback and it went straight to saturday morning cartoons. I feel like i am looking at characters from the cartoon Jem and the Holograms and the color scheme is so My Little Pony.

I think all the dresses are hideous – originals and modified, save for the very last original on the extreme right. Looks like a Herve Leger body con dress.

I LOVE the modified versions and I want to purchase Cheryl or Nadine’s dress! Does anyone know if there are any remakes of this that you can buy?
