Olga – a regular reader – contacted me recently and asked if I had seen Shakira’s new video “She Wolf”.
Olga was informing me that she noticed that Sharika was wearing those sparkling Balmain Spring 2009 heels in her new video.
At that point I hadn’t seen the video, but a few days later whilst at the gym pounding the treadmill I almost fell off when “She Wolf” came on screen.
Sharika is ELECTRIC.
She’s like a magnet that draws you in and leaves you mesmerized by her beauty, so I was happy to see Vanity Fair have captured that beauty in a Couture shoot photographed by Michael Roberts for their October 2009 issue.
In the picture above she lounges in a gold chair whilst having her nails done wearing a gold Jean Paul Gaultier dress. Her ring is from Cartier.
The rest of her shoot includes her wearing Valentino, Armani Privé, Chanel – thankfully one of the few pieces I liked from that collection – Givenchy and Christian Dior.
The Dior and both the Valentino pictures are my absolute favourites.

I’m not impressed by the photospread (even if the Valentino lace dress and mask are amazing), while the ‘She Wolf’ video is soooo impressive (Balmain sandals included). She’s a great dancer!

BUT imo, straight hair doesn’t suit Shakira. It makes her look very bimbo-ish. Add to that that ‘She wolf’ song and I can totally understand why some of her fans think she’s “selling out” :/

these pictures aren’t fierce or groundbreaking, but they make me see how beautiful shakira really is. i’m going to have to watch that music video soon.
those valentino pieces are divine! when i saw the picture of that black dress from the show originally i wasn’t that amazed by it, and now i see it for what it’s worth! it’s absolutely exquisite and shakira wears that and the mask very well.
she has exotic features, and her chest is nearly flat so not at all bimbo-ish, however maybe the blond do should’v been toned down a bit or maybe brown would have done it.

Stunning? Really? I am absolutely stumped when people say Shakira is beautiful. Maybe I could see it more clearly if I weren’t so detracted by her hair. If she left it in its natural state –obviously brunette and curly, then I could agree.
