Anna Wintour appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” last night in the US to promote her documentary “The September Issue”.
I love how Anna arrived on the stage wearing her signature shades with a gorgeous black and white floral Carolina Herrera Resort 2010 dress, with her favourite nude shoes.
David doesn’t give Anna an easy ride as during the interview, as he asks her about her reputation and “The Devils Wears Prada” movie.
When asked if she really was as cold as the Miranda Priestly in “The Devil Wears Prada” she replied, “I seem to remember that the movie was fiction. We really like fiction at Vogue”.
When asked about her reputation Anna replied, “Well, I’m very decisive and I try and give very clear direction to the people that I’m working with, and sometimes, unfortunately, they don’t hear the answer that they would like to hear.”
He later asks her if she’s ever put anyone in a headlock. “Maybe you?,” Wintour shot back, sending the audience into fits of laughter.
I enjoyed the interview, I was surprised at the good humour in which she took David’s question and comments.
“The September Issue” hits theaters in New York on August 28, and select cities on September 11.
The Kate Moss / Topshop collabo doesn’t look to be ending any time soon, in fact it seems to get stronger with each collection.
The Fall 2009 collection feels a lot more mature than previous collections.
You can expect the usual nods to vintage glamour and rock n’ roll chic, but the cutesy tea-dresses and heart print dresses have been replaced with investment pieces that have a tougher edge.
The collection includes a biker inspired leather jumpsuit, tailored jackets, sweaters, glittering party dresses, sheer blouses, strapless dresses, faux fur coats, sequin playsuits and many other exciting pieces.
The collection is due to go on sale August 27 in the UK.
Carla Gugino charmed the crowd at the world premiere of “Watchmen” held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London earlier this year, wearing a strapless Dolce & Gabbana nude strapless dress with a voluminous skirt.
I love the fact that she kept her neck bare, and I also love those bow detail on the bodice and the hem of the skirt.
Had this dress been longer, it would have made a stunning ball gown.
When I look at Eva in this picture I’m immediately drawn to her deep maroon lipstick, the strappy heels and beaded necklace. I only notice the dress last.
With such a gorgeous dress there was no need for all those extras.
After a brief flirtation with shorter hair, Ciara has already reverted back to her longer extension.
I must say I’m a tad disappointed as the crop was growing on me. She should’ve worn that style a bit longer.
I’m also disappointed that Ciara looks so good in this Zara dress, which she wore on a shopping trip to Chanel on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
Disappointed because I loved this dress and I’ve tried on 3 separate times and couldn’t get it to work.
Maybe I’m too broad because but I just couldn’t get the shoulders to work on me, they were so crooked and uneven I had to give up ever owning this dress.
I will just have to be content with admiring it on Ciara, who paired her dress with a wide black waist belt and black strappy sandals.
