Red Carpet Fashion Awards

When I saw Taylor Momsen on the “Gossip Girl” set sporting her favourite Ray Bans, I thought she was Courtney Love for a split second.

Taylor was seen on set with fellow teen actor Connor Paolo wearing a Gypsy 05 Emma long silk tube dress.

Gypsy 05 tie-dye maxi dresses are very popular for “off-duty” celebs.

Their signature colourful patterned dresses have been worn by Lauren Conrad, Nicky Hilton, Ashley Tisdale and Audrina Patridge.

You can purchase the same one as Taylor from Singer22 for only $209.

On Season 3 it looks like the teen actress aka Little J will sporting longer locks.

The Balmain military jacket as worn by Beyonce Knowles would have set you back $11,410.

Thanks to Alice + Olivia, you can purchase their shrunken military jacket with embellished details on the front and shoulders for a small fraction of the price at $550.

It’s still quite expensive for some, but that’s no doubt due to the crystals, pearls and beaded details.

Alice + Olivia also seemed to be inspired by Balmain’s Fall 2008 zebra print blazer as worn by Kim Kardashian.

It has the same print and embellished lapels, but at a fraction of the cost.

This blazer is available from Nordstorm for $495.

Unlike Bebe’s attempts to knock-off Balmain, these are much more acceptable.

It been a quite few weeks without Rihanna giving us a peek into her closet, and I haven’t honestly missed her.

Really I have. Because she’s the only one who sidewalk style is interesting no matter how crazy it gets.

The singer was spotted wearing a Rag & Bone Spring 2009 asymmetrical sheath dress, with solid black and yellow floral print panels in New York yesterday.

The singer stopped by Barney’s for some shopping before heading to Da Silvano for dinner with pals.

Her look was completed with a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain ankle fringe flats and shades at night.

Her dress is still available to purchase from Barney’s for only $276.75.

The cast of “Gossip Girl” is already incredibly glamorous, but recently supermodel Tyra Banks was on set with Hilary Duff filming scenes for the hit show at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York.

Tyra sported retro waves and large chandelier earrings whilst wearing a Marchesa Fall 2007 black gown with a beaded bodice.

Both Molly Sims and Ashanti have worn this gown on the red carpet.

Along with Valentino bags, Marchesa dresses seem to be favoured on the show as Hilary is wearing one from the Spring 2009 collection, and Leighton Meester wore a Spring 2008 ball-gown as Blair Waldorf to the Prom.

The second supermodel on set this week was Elle MacPherson.

She was shooting scenes on Mischa Barton’s new TV show “The Beautiful Life” in New York.

Sporting larger than life hair and black shades, Elle channeled her inner VB wearing Victoria Beckham’s ‘Carmontelle’ Fall 2009 dress with metallic heels.

This dress is the same dress Victoria wore on her ad shoot, and Leighton Meester wore on the set of Gossip Girl recently.

I feel a who wore it better on set? post coming up.

The “Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Annual Installation Luncheon” is the event so show-off a cute cocktail dress.

This is not the right occasion for a full-length gown, which is why Emmy Rossum wore a stunning mini white version of the silvery Carolina Herrera Resort 2010 gown presented on the runway.

Talk about a knock-out. Emmy just gets better and better for me. I barely remember the girl that used to dress like she was going to the prom for every event.

She looks sexy, confident and for some reason taller. But I just guess that because she’s showing off her toned legs and wearing nude Jimmy Choo ‘Seattle’ platforms.

Evan Rachel Wood posed on the red carpet wearing a red, black and white dot printed halter dress, with a black belt to give it some shape.

The star wore the same Jimmy Choo ‘Gesture’ platforms as Britney Spears at the Teen Choice Awards, whilst carrying a black clutch.

Her flame red hair was swept back into a classic updo.

Rose McGowan opted for a white jersey cap sleeve Balenciaga Resort 2009 dress.

The fitted dress is printed with rows of tiny black dots, and is gathered on the hip and bodice giving Rose’s curves even more definition.

She paired her dress with a dazzling embellished clutch and tan pumps.

Jordana Brewster goes back to her cute ways after a sexier look at the Teen Choice Awards.

The actress who wears her hair in a ponytail 90% of the time she steps on the red carpet, wore a Naeem Khan Resort 2009 ensemble consisting of a navy cashmere scoop neck tank with jeweled edging around the neckline, paired with a navy bell-shaped paillette embroidered skirt with a black satin waistband.

Black accessories complete the look.

Carla Gugino wore a satin black jersey wrap Reem Acra dress with a jeweled detail on the hip.

We recently saw Katherine Heigl wear the electric blue runway version on Letterman.

Sergio Rossi T-bar sandals and a black clutch complete the look.

Kerry Washington never lets me down on the red carpet.

I adore her in this girlie pink Camilla & Marc halter dress, which she teams matching box clutch and Miu Miu snakeskin pumps.

Make-up, hair, everything is flawless.  *sighs*

Eva Longoria also wore Reem Acra. Her black dress was covered with rosette details embroidered onto the bodice.

It’s a nice dress, but I would have loved to see her wear something more colourful.

Trib Two’s are standard.

With matching bleach blonde ‘do’s Kelly Osbourne and boyfriend Luke Worrall last night hung out at Whisky Mist nightclub in London.

At first glance I thought Kelly was wearing a modified Luella Fall 2009 dress, but on further inspection she’s actually wearing a Luella floral jacquard bow skirt with a black bustier.

The metallic skirt was paired with white pumps with a black tip, and a white blazer which revealed a black lining once she turned up the cuffs.

Multiple bangles, a silver brooch and a Louis Vuitton clutch completed the look.

Kelly’s skirt is available to purchase from FarFetch.com for £ 385. Or if you like the dress it’s available from Net-A-Porter international for £495/€570.
