Leighton Meester was spotted on the set of “Gossip Girl” yesterday between takes wearing her trademark flip flops with a stunning Luisa Beccaria Fall 2009 dress.
I have said on many occasions that Luisa Beccaria is a hugely underrated designer, but we have recently she her work featured on Eva Mendes for Marie Claire UK and Lauren Conrad on the Conan O’Brien Show so hopefully the buzz is starting to gather pace.
Leighton’s dress was typically Beccaria – romantic.
The gunmetal grey dress was worn with a beaded necklace, a black belt and flip flops.
I don’t know about you, but I prefer how the dark grey suede runway belt work better the dress. The black belt doesn’t blend as well.
Leighton was also spotted – obviously out of character – wearing shorts, a black top and cardigan, whilst wearing black Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony multi buckle wedge booties and carrying a Nina Ricci “Ondine” bag.
Leighton now has two of these Nina Ricci bags. This cream bag and a black clutch she carried to the Teen Choice Awards. Lucky girl.

the dress looks gorgeous in the model but it looks awful in Leighton, she doesn’t have the body to carry it off,she is to short and bit chubby,
This dress fits both Blair’s style AND Leighton’s body type perfectly. I’m loving all of Eric Daman’s choices for season 3 of Gossip Girl.
