Carla Gugino charmed the crowd at the world premiere of “Watchmen” held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London earlier this year, wearing a strapless Dolce & Gabbana nude strapless dress with a voluminous skirt.
I love the fact that she kept her neck bare, and I also love those bow detail on the bodice and the hem of the skirt.
Had this dress been longer, it would have made a stunning ball gown.
Gold heels and a gold clutch complete the look.
Eva Herzigova wore the same dress to the 2009 Costume Institute Gala with Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
When I look at Eva in this picture I’m immediately drawn to her deep maroon lipstick, the strappy heels and beaded necklace. I only notice the dress last.
With such a gorgeous dress there was no need for all those extras.
Carla kept it simple so she wins for me.

Eva Longoria’s Victoria, Victoria Beckham Dry Scrunch Zip Front Dress

On Carla, the dress looks a bit too tight round the top of the bust. Fit matters so much on any clothes, but on a strapless bodiice if the fit isn’t right, nothing else is.
I love how Carla Gugino looks so poised and elegant in this compared to Eva Herzigova. Her coloring is too pale to go with the flesh colored dress.. her hair is just blah.. and def not feeling the shoes… AND the lip color.
This is one of those that should be NO CONTEST. Carla should get 100%. Eva looks ridiculous – how could such a beautiful dress be made to look so horrible? The lipstick and the shoes just don’t go. I think Carla’s skin tone and hair also suit the dress more.
