Katherine Heigl’s Obsession – Marc Jacobs Memphis Python Robert Lexie Bag

Katherine Heigl doesn’t leave her house without her Spring 2009 ‘Marc Jacobs Memphis Python Robert Lexie’ tote.

The eye catching bag is perfect for summer with it’s bright yellow python leather.

The stand-out drawstring tote has a metallic burgundy and black circle motif with metallic nylon straps.

Its large 16″x 18″ dimensions allows this tote to be perfect to carry to the office, shopping trips or use as overnight luggage.

I love the colorful tassel and contrasting colours.

From meetings to an airport check in, Katherine carries her tote everywhere including…

…the “Letterman” show, where an assistant held her bag whilst she posed for photographers. Katherine can’t be away from her baby for too long, which makes sense when you check out the price.

You can share Katherine’s obsession by purchasing this bag from Barney’s for $4,200, or you can purchase a smaller version from for $1,995.

I love the bag! For that money I would probably rather buy something a bit more versaltile but I’m sure we all know what its like to spend far too much on a bag then wear it constantly! What I’m more shocked about FC is that you managed to find 5 photos of Katherine Heigl without a cigarette!

I think she is great and has made some very wise red carpet decisions of late but that bag is hideous. Tassles?Yellow?Diamond pattern?Drawstring? On the one bag! And with such an ugly, uncoordinated handle, too. How does this translate as “everyday tote” when you see it sitting on the shelf (or the screen)? An everyday tote is Chanel or Bottega Veneta- something that swings easily alongside any outfit. I cringe to think how it looked when her assistant handed it back to her after that last photo.

Why not use a bag that costs so much more than once – I’d use it every day as well!

Of course we all use the same bag more than once.

Who’s saying it’s a bad thing? Not me.

I love the way it goes with her assistant’s outfit more than hers!
