Best Dressed Of The Week
It was hard for me not to vote for Marion, but I can’t ignore Stella, whose polished yet comfortable looking chic represents all that I aspire (yet fail) to achieve myself. And whew, I can see I was needlessly worried about this week’s poll as there is lots to chose from!
What a boring week! Many of these wouldn’t even be considered among the top on a regular week.
I voted for Nicola Roberts, as she stood out. I think Marion Cottilard will win though. But I prefer Stella McCartney if they’ll end up having a battle.
myleenes dress really popped to me for some reason.
It was a good week. I have no idea why Alicia Keys is there. Not an interesting look at all. Zoe and Beyoncé looked better.
For me, it was a close call between Roberts, Cotillard (in Westwood) and McCartney. I chose Marion Cotillard.
Knightley and Klass also looked great, and I think Isabel Lucas’ candid style is a lot better than her red carpet outfits.
Alicia won the best of that event which both Beyonce and Zoe were included.
I know that, which is why I am wondering why the hell she is there.
Lola…you take issue with every poll.
I don’t know what to say to you anymore apart from, it is what it is.
I was expecting Carla Bruni to show on this list. Too bad really.
Still I am quite loving Stella, Marion in Dior, Myleene and Anouck .
And despite the shoes – I think I’ll give this one to Marion.
Isabel all the way.
fc you’re right. it was a very slow week.
I think it was Marion’s week – this isn’t a surprise. I voted for her this week again, in Vivienne Westwood. I’m so loving her look. First, I’m not sure about the shoes, but everything else is gorgeous, so there is no doubt for me. She’s a gem.
And I also like her in Dior. Beautiful dress.
You put knightley down? She looks awful Yes, nice dress, but there were many people who looked better. I’m going for Stella. She never seems to have a hair out of place.
Yes I put Keira on the list. Who would you have put in her place on this very slow week?
Annalynne McCord or Megan Fox? They made the best of their outfits, whereas Keira looks distinctly unkempt. But if I wasn’t sure of who to put up, I would have gone for quality over quantity. Just an opinion, keep up the good work nevertheless!
My favorites out of this bunch are Stella and Marion in Vivienne Westwood. But I voted for I voted for Stella (really like her shoes more).
Am I the only one bowled over by Nicola? That hair with that dress, simply divine.
I totally agree with you hence her inclusion.
and btw, I hate those ad pop-ups with BRUNO or something. I’m actually considering not visiting the blog because they annoy me so much.
If you decide not to visit my site because of the pop ups that would be your choice.
EVERY single celebrity picture has to be paid for.
As an independent blogger I do not have access to a lot of picture agencies like JustJared and larger blogs who can afford to buy every picture they use.
Instead I have a deal with some agencies who will allow me to use their pictures in exchange for those pop ups to appear.
For me it’s a small compromise in order to have the best pictures from agencies that will normally charge £500 per month just for pictures. I don’t have that kind of money.
Most small blogs take pictures off sites like JustJared and credit him thinking that is OK, but what they are doing is actually illegal.
I had one picture of Rihanna wearing that denim Balmain jacket I found from her fan site which I didn’t know belonged to X17. They found it, contacted my domain host and told them to shut down my site because I illegally used 1 picture.
It happened over night and I woke to find my site shut down.
Now I make sure I use picture legally by paying for them or licensing them. If I can’t I don’t use the picture.
X17 take a lot of Victoria Beckham’s paparazzi pictures, so it’s very unlikely I will feature her again because that agency charges $50 per picture which is way too much for 1 picture.
I am a small blogger trying to build up my site to be a well recognised as JustJared. I don’t have financial backers like he does and many large bloggers – although I have had many offers – because I want to keep my site independent.
I spend a lot of time and my own money on this site, and I know you don’t know what goes into putting a site together but your comment seems a little ungrateful with all due respect.
If I didn’t have the pictures of Marion in her Dior dress – which I had to licence – you would all wonder why I didn’t include her on my site this week.
I never realised you had to pay for every picture.
FC, your work is really appreciated, as is the time and money you spend on it. Even if the pop ups are annoying, it takes a split second to close them, and I’m fine with that as I get to see your amazing blog. Well done.
That’s what I thought too. It only takes a second.
Oh I had no idea that there are so many rules about these pictures! Thanks for everything FC. Your blog posts never fail to make my day.
I found out the hard way unfortunately. But yes there are many rules.
FC i think you’re building quite a following.. I’m sure in time it will become as iconic as other websites. I for one am greatful for your blog. It’s no1 on my must visit. So thanks! Like everyone else i didn’t realise there was so much money needed in creating a blog such as this…
on another note.. Best dressed of the week.. I agree with most people who said it was a slow week.. very underwhelmed.. in the end it was between the two marion looks, keira, nicole and alicia… I opted for Alicia…
thanks for your kind comment Sydney. I’m glad you like what I’m doing x
Aww. I love your blog FC! And even though the Bruno guy is annoying, it takes a second to shut them down, so they dont appear again.
Plus, nothing would stop me visiting a blog I look at 50368 times a day.
I was SO close to voting for Marion in Christian Dior, but i realised that a Marion – Dior collaboration we’ve seen before, and as beautiful as it is, we’ve seen it before. So I voted for Isabel for such a fresh look.
I went for Isabel but Marion will probably win. I’m surprised she’s leading with the Vivienne Westwood dress rather than the Dior. Not a great week though.
i’m missing carla and Beyonce here! I know Bee’s outfit was predictable but I was really astonished, she looked beautiful. If she isn’t here, I must give my vote to Stella, I adore her dress and she looks flawless!
I think Myleene Klass definitely deserves best dressed of the week. Unlike many others on this poll, she’s not wearing a big name designer, she’s wearing something I could go buy my self. It’s hard bringing a piece like that to the red carpet, competing with people in Dior and Stella Mcartney, and still looking amazing.
You make a very good point. Love it.
I voted for Nicola, I just love the way she matched the colour of her shoes to her dress, plus that colour looks gorgeous against her pale skin
