Not being a fan of Alexa Chung I wasn’t particularly mourning her Stateside move like many fashion followers, more rejoicing it.

The scruffy TV presenter does seem to have smartened up a bit, but hasn’t lost any of her unique style.

On a recent episode of her MTV show she looked the best I have seen her in a long while wearing a Vena Cava Spring 2009 dress.

The two-tone sweet-heart necklined dress with spaghetti straps has a zipper along the front of the black solid silk bodice and the skirt which has an interesting lamé ikat detail.

A cream cardi and black cut-out ankle boots complete the look.

For those of you who watch her show is it any good?

I don’t even know who she is, I just seem to see her name come up everywhere.

I hate her hairstyle and her style in general. I guess she thinks she’s an indie fashion muse, but she’s just boring and unoriginal.

I didnt understand her style before but i saw something where she was talking about it and i think its because she’s insecure about parts of her body, she wears short socks with high heels cos she hates her feet. kinda makes you feel better about your own body image nonsense! i agree though, dont get her hair, is it really intentional?

Some shows play and some dont, like the hills, but hers does, well in Australia it does. i think its just the ones they think they can sell, they dont allow to be played.

The Vena Cava dress has been worn by Blake Lively in Gossip Girl (season 2, episode 22) in cream and she looks much better

It’s On With Alexa Chung is nothing to keep me interested for more than five minutes.
People just like it because she’s not American & has an “accent.”

I wonder how she managed to get her own show in America I didn’t even think she was that popular in the UK … poor Cat Deeley must be so jealous!

I agree at Cat Deeley. She slogged it out for years in the UK before she got her US break.

She even had to suffer years working with Ant & Dec

I thought I hated her, but she’s actually adorable and smart on the MTV show. New girl crush.

I really don’t like this girl nor understand her fashion ‘icon’ status…..she just seems so samey and unimpressive

Alexa Chung really frustrates me. I don’t like judging women’s sex lives but she’s really only famous due to her relationships with a string of men in the music industry. She’s the classic useless socialite. She’s never been a notable model and her style is awkward indie kid served with a side of bland. The truth hurts.

well, anyway she looks better in this dress than blake lively as serena van der woodsen. I’m not a fan of this dress because it seems to me that it’s really unflattering.
although, I <3 shoes. the best part of this look)

Does anone else think that her legs look unhealthily skinny here. I understand that she is naturally slim but this seems a bit much to me.
