Today was Ladies Day at the Ascot Racecourse. This is when we get to see an array of stunning hats at the annual event, and it seems the ladies are getting more and more inventive each year.
Erin O’Connor was elegant as ever wearing a white Chanel jacket with black trims but she opted not to wear the runway chained brooch.
Of course she donned a black wide brimmed hat and completed her look with wide black pants.

A giant ice-cream cone, a trio of chocoholics wearing hats shaped like Quality Street sweets, and a hat used to put across a political message were just a few of the exotic hats on display.

OMG that betch ruined My Fair Lady for me forever.
And Erin O’conner, only you could make wide legged pants so chic. I wonder what her pin says.
erin is stunning as always.
the rest of them are just horrible, seriously vile. the whole ice cream and chocolates are bad enough but that FUGLY eliza dolittle thing is hideous. i would happily burn that thing.
Ha, ha, ha… OMG, I’m always so happy when this event arrives. So much fun and side-splitting laughter. Brave choices…BUT…please, IT’S SIMPLY TOO MUCH! Ridiculous…
I really liked the runway version with the brooch and black band across the chest better. Not quite feeling the ginormous pants. But, I’m from the States and don’t know who Erin is, so it’s hard to put her qualities in context to the outfit.
Wow these are insane. I”m from the US, so I’m not sure what “I paid for this hat on expenses” means. Is that welfare (gov’t assistance)?
I’m not up on politics but basically a lot of our Members of Parliament have been using government expenses to fund second homes and other thing not linked to their work.
The hat is poking fun at that
Ahh that makes sense. Thanks
.
Erin O’Connor is stunning. hope she’ll be chosen to best dressed of the week
one thing to say…
These Ladies ROCK!
Erin is just wow
