Donatella Versace always looks outstanding. She oozes sexy glamour which is modern mixed with 80s charm.
What I love about her most is the way she adapts looks from the runway to suit her own unique style. You will never see her in a runway look. But then I believed that Jennifer Aniston would never wow me, and we all know how that turned out.
At a Grazia Party held at Villa Necchi last week in Milan the designer wore this gold one-shouldered dress from her Spring 2009 collection.
Nearly all the elements of the runway look featured in her dress: the colour, the one-shoulder detail and the asymmetrical bodice, but her dress has a pencil skirt whilst the runway version has a bell-shaped skirt.Â
Yes it’s a very small detail, but a detail that makes this look simply and exclusively Donatella’s.
Tres chic.

I also love that Donatella always makes her designs slightly different for herself. I almost always prefer her version to the one that went down the runway and this one is no exception. This dress is much more lovely with the pencil skirt.
