Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: May 2009

Last month whilst promoting her album in Europe, Ciara was all smiles as she made her way to Gare Du Nord train station in Paris bound for London.

Back then she was sporting that two tone coloured hair, which I really dislike, but a Topshop embellished short sleeved knitted top I really like.

I recently tried the orange version on at Topshop, Oxford Circus, but I much prefer Ciara’s, now sold out black version.

The top is available from Topshop in both orange and ivory.

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto and Lost’s Evangeline Lilly are joining Elizabeth Banks as the newest world spokespeople for L’Oreal Paris.

The Luxist had said back in April that L’Oreal had called off its annual promotional event during the festival.

But yesterda a spokesman at L’Oreal said “On the eve of the Cannes festival, to which I want to reiterate our attachment…these stars of world cinema have agreed to represent our brand.”

So it looks like we will get to see the L’Oreal girls on the red carpet after all, maybe with new girls Freida, Evangeline and Elizabeth.

Eva Longoria has been recently spotted carrying a gorgeous buttery BE&D ruffle tote.

She carried it on Monday whilst treating herself to some retail therapy in LA, wearing a bright blue maxi dress with oversized sunglasses.

Yesterday she was spotted with the same bag, whilst attending a business meeting, wearing a smart olive silk blouse, and jeans.

Dressed up, or dressed down, this is a bag for all occasions. You can purchase it from Intermix for $1,390/£945.75.

Back in January Penelope Cruz was seen arriving at the Buffalo Club Santa Monica, wearing a L’Wren Scott Globule lace shift dress.

She wore her dress with black peep-toes, and without the red runway belt.

Rachel McAdams really turned up the style stakes, whilst out and about in New York last month. The actress looked adorable in the same gorgeous dress, with a Brian Reyes coat.

She gets extra points for teaming her dress with the red runway belt, which makes the dress more interesting, so she wins for me.

This dress is available to purchase from Net-A-Porter’s US site for $3,495, or the international site for £1,965/€2,411.45.

I didn’t like this dress Eva Mendes when she wore it to the Parson Fashion Benefit last month, and I dislike this colour even more on Michelle Monaghan.

It’s not particularly flattering, chartreuse is a hard colour to pull off, and those Calvin Klein Fall 2009 heels are very chunky.

I much prefer Molly Sims’ Calvin Klein Fall 2009 dress over the runway version. She’s too bright, and bubbly for the darker version.

I love this geometric print dress with a metallic shimmer, as it has a sporty feel to it.

What find interesting about this dress is the neckline, and the draped detail on the side.

Molly wore her dress with Sergio Rossi elasticated strappy ankle sandals, and a silver clutch.

On April, 2 I showed you candids of Heidi Klum striking various poses, in many Fall 2009 creations for Vogue Germany.

The pregnant supermodel graces the cover of Vogue Germany June 2009 edition, and from looking at the editorial, it looks like the editor left out 2 of my favourite looks of Heidi from that day.

The Atelier Versace Spring 2009 & Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 looks.

Now that gorgeous red Atelier Versace Spring 2009 dress will always be known as the dress Emma Roberts ruined – for many of us – at the Costume Institute Gala.

This is the result of that photo shoot, with Heidi in various looks, from dramatic film diva, and enigmatic Hollywood star to naturally Klum.

I adore her in the Balmain picture, plus I need to own those Roger Vivier feather heeled shoes.
