You’re right, Madonna is admirable for daring to wear something like that, but still, it’s ridiculous.

I expected a pretty gown from Rihanna, so this was a disappointment.

The read Atelier Versace dress that Jessica Biel wore is beautiful and it would have looked really good on her if she hadn’t had this horrible tan and this lipstick which makes her lips look so pale. It’s a pity.

I don’t like anything about Victoria Beckham’s look. You’re right, the original red carpet is not for her, when it comes to fashion. The sidewalk is her own red carpet.

i think the shoes are what ruins victoria’s look here.. the dress is actually quite lovely… I hated it at first, but its grown on me…
still not a huge fan of the train on the short dress, but the shoulder detail is wonderful and the body of the dress is well shaped and i really like the fold detail… the shoes are ridiculous.. as im sure they are intended to be.. but i feel that they were the tip of the iceberg for victoria’s already iffy look…
i think it depends on the angle because every picture i see i go back and forth about the dress!! ahh can’t decide!

What is it with all that fake tan? I just hate that. If you’re white, you’re white. Deal!

Madonna - Oh dear. Those bunny ears can be worn in a way to look better than that. I mean, what IS that? There’s a way to wear that dress to look cute, too. I feel like she didn’t even get it. Your boobs shouldn’t go in the MIDDLE, but underneath the straps. And there’s a way to… Oh no, sorry. It’s not possible to do anything right with those thigh-high boots.

Rihanna - I will NOT let her ruin that collection for me. I. WILL. NOT. *repeats the mantra* That’s just not for her. And the problem are the pants more than anything else. Those pants look like shit on her legs.

Jessica Biel - Everything looks just wonky on her. It’s honestly like they put Atelier Versace on the homeless. No offense to the homeless. I know it must be hard to be compared to The Biel.

I would say, because of the LV shoes, that Marc did Victoria’s dress for the Louis Vuitton label.

I’m always looking forward to such big fashion events like this, but so many things bother me about each. The Oscars annoy me because everyone takes it way too seriously fashion-wise and plays too safe. What frustrates me about Met Ball is that there are always way WAY too many customized and modified dresses. To people into fashion the most exciting thing is to see pieces from the runway, while the designers and celebs seem to be into creating something never seen. I prefer seeing runway pieces because I know the context they’re coming from. Modified/custom things don’t do anything for me. It’s especially annoying that even most of the runway pieces they wore are in different colors, even if the runway color is WAY better. Like Rose Byrne’s Marc Jacobs dress, for example. Why is the shiny orange/yellow better than the lovely baby blue? I get the feeling they change it up just for the sake of showing that designers, like, WORKED on it for those celebs. Completely pointless.

I actually like Jessica Biel! It was certainly out of her comfort zone, the color was stunning, I wasn’t offended by her tan. Overall, I liked it a lot!

YES YES YES is all i can say. Finally more people agree with me on Victoria Beckham. I’ve been trying to convince for ages!
