Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: April 2009

This weekend Jessica Stroup attended the Paleyfest09 90210 event at the Paley Center For Media in LA.

With her brunette wavy hair, she looked gorgeous wearing a cute black See by Chloé cocktail dress.

This beautiful dress features a vintage-inspired scarf tie at the shoulder, while the soft lace bodice and silk taffeta skirt creates a party-ready look.

You can own this dress by purchasing it from Shopbop.com for $535, or Urban Outfitters for £308.

Jessica kept the Chloé theme going, with a pair of Chloé scalloped leather pumps.

The scalloped detailing was heavily featured in the main collection, and really adds character to these peep-toes.

You can purchase them from Net-A-Porter’s US site for $595, or the international site for £318/€370.

I was blown away by the magnificent Jimmy Choo Samoa Kid Sandals, which Amanda Seyfried wore back in January, to the Big Love 3rd Season premiere with a Chloé dress.

Carla Gugino opted for a head to toe citrus look last week, to the Desire Under the Elms Broadway Photo Call. The actress wore an orange Rachel Roy dress, with the same Samoa Kid sandals in orange.

These orange sandals are absolutely stunning for summer, and would perfect a day or evening look.

Jimmy Choo are the sandal experts, and this strappy leather pair are without a doubt, destined to become future classics.

You can buy both from Net-A-Porter.com in black from the US site for $785 & the international site for £440/€585. And in orange they are also available on the US site and international site for the same prices.

It’s that time again, when we all get excited to see who Vogue US deem to be one of the Faces of the Moment. This issue is usually a collectors item.

The girls who made this epic issue are: (from left to right)

Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Jagodzinska, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly.

The cover was shot by Steven Meisel, who is featured in a special article about his lasting influence on the world of modelling.

Everyone deserves to be on this cover, but I must say I’m distraught that Lakshmi Menon didn’t make it, she’s had a phenomenal year.

Sophia Bush *sighs*

So effortlessly beautiful as always.

The actress wore those lust worthy Dior Extreme gladiator heels, with a dove grey v-neck top, and black mini pleated skirt.

I love the look, but I’m instantly drawn to her stunning statement necklace like a magpie.

Exquisite as always.

We are more used to seeing Dita von Teese in Couture, tailored suits, or corsets. So this green jersey Rachel Pally dress is a refreshing change.

The leopard print sunglasses, was one leopard print item too many for me, but I do love her 3 strap Dior Mary Janes.

Wearing the very popular Jimmy Choo Corsica strappy sandals in nude, Kristen Bell wore a Rachel Pally ensemble consisting of a navy poncho top, and a mini lilac skirt.

The ornament around her neck is a bit random, but it works well with her nude Choo’s.

Rachael Leigh Cook’s Rachel Pally Ariel pocket dress is a cute. I love the colour and her necklace, but I really hate those beige boots. They’re killing me.

Amy Smart orange Rachel Pally Alice dress was the perfect choice for her to wear on such beautiful sunny day, but the black peep-toes were a safe, boring choice.

Designer Rachel Pally is wearing on of her signature jersey strapless draped maxi dresses.

What a fantastic way to promote her pieces.

Now this Nanette Lepore Swept Away wrap dress, I really like on Miley Cyrus.

It’s cute, non-provocative, age-appropriate, and something her young fans can realistically inspire to copy.

The Disney star arrived at a taping of the Rachael Ray show last week wearing this navy, white bow, red trimmed dress, with Moschino Cheap and Chic peep-toe strappy heels.

You can buy this dress from Shopbop for $395, or My-Wardrobe.com for £293.

On Rachel Ray, Miley talks about an experience she had at a Chanel store.

“My very first time going into a Chanel store they said ‘hey we have a bunch of people, and we never really ask for autographs, but they would love to have an autograph’…So I’m writing down Chanel, and I’m like oh my gosh this is so cool you know. And the lady looks at me and goes ‘You obviously don’t come in here often.’ And I was like, what do you mean? “You spelled it channel.” And I was like dang it! So I totally spelled Chanel channel, instead. But, whatever I’m from Tennessee I don’t know how to spell half the things.”

Dang it, those stores can be so mean sometimes. You can check out Miley full interview at TV Crunch.
