2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards

Gustavo Cadile was the designer of the night, as he dressed many of the women at the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The first was Rashel Diaz.

The TV personality wore a silver rose print gown from his Fall 2009 collection.

Her version had silver embellished details to highlight the straps and the empire waist.

Catherine Siachoque’s black strapless gown was from the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2009 Bridal collection.

You may remember that Shakira wore this same dress in green, earlier this year.

Mexican singer Gloria Trevi was the second star to wear a dress by Gustavo Cadile.

The bright yellow strapless gown really lit up the red carpet. The details included a intricate lace overlay on the bodice, with a cream satin sash which tied around the waist, into a bow at the back.

Maritza Rodriguez’ body looks outstanding wearing a Nicholas Felizola white asymmetrical gown. I love that fluttery detail on the shoulder.

Ximena Duque was the golden girl of the night wearing a Gustavo Cadile Fall 2009 gown.

Cream coloured tulle straps and trims give this gown a dynamic finish.

Paola Varela wore a two-tone nude Carlos Miele Spring 2009 one-shoulder gown, with a her hair pulled back.

You will recognise this gown, as Isla Fisher wore it to the 2009 Golden Globe Awards.

Monica Noguera also wore an outstanding gown by Gustavo Cadile. The designer outdid himself with this stunning one-shoulder white gown.

I love the detail on the bodice, which gets lost by the sunlight in the red carpet.

rashel i love this dress, it is alot nicer on her although her boobs are rather distracting, the print is gorgeous.

cahterine this dress isnt as nice in black as it is in white. her necklace is rather pretty.

gloria STUNNING, that colour against her skin is beautiful. the lace on the bodice is exquisite.

martiza very nice simple but not too simple.

ximena, the dress is stunning my third favoutire dress he has ever designed (first is that fringer dress queen latifah wore, still in love with it) but i prefer this dress on the model, i like the way is sits at the bust its not as high as on ximena.

paola im really not into this dress at all. on the model it is nice, but on paola im not a fan, im sure it looks alot nicer when she walks though.

monica this dress is simply amazing, my wsecond favoutire by him. i love it the white against her skin is lovely. and the detail on the bodice is just perfection.

so many people have looked great this week, monica has to be in best dressed of the week. she just looks stunning.

How non-special. They’re all wearing floor-length gowns in standard fabrics/colors (black, white, nude), holding their hands on their hips, with face expressions that would make Lisa Rinna proud.
These ladies should pay more attention, things have changed. Most of them look like they’ve stepped out of ”The Bold and the Beautiful”.

I do love Ximena’s gown, although I sort of wish I’d seen it on Taylor Swift. She just has such a good track record with that look :)

catherine’s look is just like eva mendes’s this year on the golden globes and jennifer garner’s last year on the oscars

Wow. Only a Balkans event could get more boring, cliche and uninspired than this.

grease at least they take risks.I know they are extreme but at least its never boring and they get noticed.

i’ll take ridiculus over bland any day

What do you people have against events that are not American? Like seriously there always seems to be more negative comments for their clothing, when honestly I don’t think they look particularly better or worse. Stop being so ethnocentric.

Joanna, I have noticed that as well.
