What will Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen wear to Prom?

Marchesa and Christian Dior.

Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, will wear the stunningly mesmerizing Marchesa Spring 2008 black silk tulle ball gown, with gold left appliqués on an upcoming episode, due to air May, 11.

This gown is a real show stopper.

Dita von Teese won a Who Wore It Better? challenge with the designer of this gown, Georgina Chapman, and Penelope Cruz sizzled in this gown for her Vogue December 2007 editorial.

Blake Lively as Serena Van Der Woodsen will wear a pink crystallized Christian Dior Spring 2009 halter gown. You may remember that Eva Mendes wore the same dress to the Art of Elysium 2nd Annual Heaven Gala back in January.

I love Leighton’s ball gown, Blake’s gown is very predictable, and kinda loses it’s appeal without the belt.

We all knew it would be hard for actresses to wear the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2009 pajama sets on the red carpet.

You may remember Jessica Alba getting it terribly wrong at the My Bloody Valentine 3D LA screening back in January.

Becki Newton, decided to give it a go at the preview of the Ugly Betty: The Rabbit Test episode, presented by the Paley Center for Media last night.

She opted for the cute Dolce & Gabbana pot print pajama shorts, which she wore with a Dolce & Gabbana bustier, a black tuxedo jacket, and black Christian Louboutin Etrier patent leather sandals, and it all works.

I really love what she did with this look, she broke up the runway look, and made it her own.

Definitely a Best Dressed Of The Week contender, for making what I thought was the impossible, possible.

You can get Becki’s looks including her:

Eva Mendes may have been the most high-profile celebrity at this event, but she wowed me the least.

The Calvin Klein fragrance campaign girl, wore an eggplant crescent hemmed textured dress from Francisco Costa’s Fall 2009 minimalist collection, with strappy Fall 2009 heels.

The dress was lengthen from the runway version, yet that’s still nothing to get excited about.

It’s a nice colour on her though.

Speaking of having the wow factor, Helena Christensen gave me what I always crave on the red carpet…bursts of colour.

The sultry aurban haired supermodel, wore a yellow and blue striped Marc Jacobs Voile draped dress, which really stood out from all the others.

The dress was worn with the runway leather sash, a black clutch, and black peep-toes.

Molly Sims opted for a long sleeved Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2009 dress.

I admire Molly stepping out of her comfort-zone to wear this directional piece, as we’re more used to seeing her wear cute tunic dresses.

Had I not seen paparazzi snaps of Olivia Palermo out this week with Marc Jacobs shopping bags, I may not have sussed that she was wearing a Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 dress.

Her dress has been heavily modified from the long-sleeved runway version, but the paisley pattern on the material, and the construction of the dress remain the same.

The ‘social’ completed her look with black Pour La Victoire heels, and a canary yellow clutch, with a feathered detail.

Actress Amanda Setton picked an interesting and exciting piece from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection.

Amanda gives this full skirted piece the energy needed to pull it off. I adore the stripy skirt, the sequined red top, the Pour La Victoire heels, and the bare legs.

Anna Wintour attended Salma Hayek’s wedding in a re-run, just like she did to this event.

The Editor-in-Chief of Vogue US, wore the same Marni Spring 2009 ensemble, which she wore to the 5th Anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event last year.

She ditched the maroon tights and metallic heels, to wear this look with gold strappy sandals.

Browns Fashion have both the sequin and macramé top, and the macramé pencil skirt available to purchase on their website.

Stylist Amanda Ross should’ve known to wear a nude bra under her gorgeous embroidered Peter Som Spring 2009 top.

I also would’ve preferred this look without the black belt, and I don’t need to share by feelings about the tights, but they kinda work with this look.

Here is Mischa Barton doing something we haven’t seen her do in a while.

WORK.

The former O.C. star was on set this week, for her new fashion-based TV show – Beautiful Life.

The actress will play a New York-based model in the pilot episode, which will also feature a cameo appearance from supermodel Elle Macpherson.

On Day One we got to see her on set wearing 4 major designers: Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Her Chanel bouclé white jacket with black trims, was given a nautical touch, with a striped Chanel top, and black shorts.

Another look consisted of a beige Christian Dior Spring 2009 polka dotted, floaty tiered mini dress, with a multiple layered white waist belt, a denim vest, and sand Christian Louboutin Deva suede fringed boots.

This white Dolce & Gabbana strappy tulle bustier dress has been worn many times, so it’s no surprise that it featured in Mischa’s on set wardrobe.

It seems like this show will be worth watching just for the fashion alone. It can fill that big empty void Sex And The City left, and Lucy Liu on Dirty Sexy Money can only partially fill.

On her 100th day in the White House, Michelle Obama volunteered, bagging food for hungry children at the Capital Area Food Bank.

The First Lady of Fashion was super casual, but still chic, wearing a J. Crew argyle cardigan, cropped pants, and snazzy Lanvin leather sneakers.

Her grey leather sneakers, had a purple metallic toe, and grey grosgrain ribbon laces.

I found a reversed colour version of Michelle’s sneakers with a patent grey metallic toe, from BrownsFashion.com for £310/€345.90/$455.42.

The J.Crew cardigan was $188, but reduced to $99.99

Like I always say when it comes to Michelle, get it before it sells out.

Selma Blair attended a book signing for Dark Glamour wearing a slinky black Chanel Resort 2009 lace dress, which you all loved on her so much, you voted her Best Dressed Of The Week.

The belted dress had a nude underlay, and poufy details on the shoulders and hem.

The actress teamed her look with a cocoon shaped Chanel Fall 2008 clutch, and black patent YSL Trib Two Mary Janes, with a gold sole.

Leigh Lezark wore the same dress last month attending The American Museum Of Natural History’s Museum Dance, without the belt.

She accessorized with a box-shaped Chanel purse, and black peep-toes.

Selma look is so chic. I prefer her look with the belt, which gives her an amazing silhouette, plus she accessorized better.
