Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Straight off the back of promoting Twilight, Kristen Stewart jumps straight into promoting her new movie Adventureland.

The movie had its premiere in LA last night, where the usually scruffy looking Kristen, looked very polished – by her standards.

Her hair was tied back into a semi-loose bun, whilst wearing black patent high heel pumps, and a coral and black patterned Herve Leger by Max Azria Spring 2009 bandage dress.

The dress had an open back, which Kristen was only too happy to show off for the photographers.

I know many of you are tiring of bandage dresses, but I think this is a really good look for Kristen. The colour of the dress is gorgeous against her skin.

Carice van Houten arrived at the Montblanc “Signature for Good” Charity Gala in LA last month, wearing a black and white graphic print Jay Godfrey halter-neck maxi dress.

Actress Dania Ramirez was probably the oldest person on the red carpet for the LA premiere of the Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, but that didn’t stop her standing out wearing the same dress in bright orange.

For standing out, and adding a little something extra with the tan belt, Dania wins this for me.

Dania’s orange and white print maxi dress is available to purchase from Nordstrom for $495.

There has been much discussion today about the YSL caged heels, and who actually wore them first.

David has kindly pointed out that it was in fact Tilda Swinton and not Becki Newton, as I had stated earlier nor, Ciara, as kindly pointed out by Profashionelle.

Tilda wore the silver caged heels with a dove grey YSL Spring 2009 pant suit, during the Berlin Film Festival last month, when she attended the premiere of The Dust Of Time.

Regular readers will remember that I kinda disowned Tilda during that time, as she was sporting some frock horrors, and as a result I missed this look. And it’s not at all bad, in fact this is one of her best looks this year, so thanks to David who made me go back and search for this.

If you are lusting after these heels as much as myself and Nik, you can purchase them at Matches Fashion, who have the YSL Booties for £905. Whereas Luisa via Roma have the YSL cage boots (€1,100), the YSL cage booties (€890) and the YSL cage sandals (€650).

Whilst I’m impatiently eagerly awaiting Beyonce Knowles’ US Vogue April 2009 editorial, I came across her Vogue Italia March 2009 editorial.

The editorial is a mix of classic Beyonce, with an old school vibe.

B is very much channeling Marilyn Monroe here, who, like Beyonce was curvaceous. I think this is a very encouraging message, which is that you don’t have to be a size 0 actress to grace a high fashion magazine editorial.

I do love the graceful elegant pieces she is wearing, by her favourite designer Giorgio Armani, but I preferred the more edgier editorials from last year, in which Beyonce was taken out of her comfort zone.

As Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City, Sarah Jessica Parker got to wear some of the most fashion forward designs straight from the runway.

We all know that SJP loves to wear L’Wren Scott on the red carpet, but it seems like she may have been clever enough to ensure that she gets a fabulous wardrobe for her new film Did you Hear About the Morgans?

On set she was looking gorgeous with new bangs, wearing a petrol blue L’Wren Scott Spring 2008 sheath dress, whilst carrying a black coat.

I LOVE this silhouette. I live for smart tailored dresses like this.

You won’t be surprised to learn that this movie is a romantic comedy, which also stars Hugh Grant.

I’m in lust with her snake-skin heels.

What’s not to love about Amy Adams? She’s smart, funny, intelligent, talented and beautiful.

She earned her second Oscar nomination this year for her role as a naive young nun alongside Meryl Streep in Doubt, but in her interview with BlackBook the actress, says she’s most excited about new roles that will allow film audiences to see another side of her acting talent.

She’ll play Amelia Earhart in Night At The Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian.

“Tight jodhpurs,” Amy laughs. “It’s going to be an Amy Adams butt show. I was like, ‘That’s a lot of information.’ I’m not known for showing my ass on camera, but there it is.”

The movie opens in May.

Amy also stars alongside Emily Blunt in the critically-acclaimed Sundance hit Sunshine Cleaning.

“We went a couple of different ways with my character, Rose. One was the ‘mom jeans’ way, and then there was the pseudo-prostitute version.”

On her goodie-two-shoes image: “I misbehave. I just do it in private”.
