2009 American Museum Of Natural History’s Museum Dance

A gorgeous Jessica Alba stepped out on the red carpet last night, looking divine wearing a burnt-orange and black sequined one-shouldered Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2009 dress.

I adore the orange against her skin.

Although I’m not a fan of tights on the red carpet, it works with the colour-blocking on her dress.

Jessica added a lot of pizazz to her look with sparkling statement chandelier earrings, and a dazzling embellished Roger Vivier clutch.

Dani Stahl’s black Versace Spring 2009 strapless mini dress had multiple zip details, and a ruffled hemline.

The NYLON Style Director’s look was complete with fuchsia pink Christian Louboutin Very Galaxy platform pumps.

The gold Very Galaxy heels may be an obvious choice, but I would have preferred them to go with her black and gold look.

Now this is a look that really should have been worn without tights.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld’s aqua Balmain strapless mini dress, with criss-cross embellishments is very much muted with the tights don’t you think?

Leigh Lezark wore a stunning body-contouring black lace Chanel Resort 2009 dress, which has a nude underlay to give a sheer illusion.

The DJ/model opted to wear her dress without the patent black belt which was presented on the runway. A small box clutch, and black peep-toes complete the look.

Fuchsia pink is very much the favoured colour by Tinsley Mortimer at the moment, as this is the second time in a row, and third time within 2 months, she has worn the stand out colour.

On this occasion she wore a Christian Dior Spring 2009 mini strapless dress, with matching toe and nail polish.

Her look was complete with another one of her self designed Samantha Thavasa clutches.

The yellow and pink, goes a lot better than the previous green and pink.

Milla Jovovich looked like a sexy seductress in her rich, velvet Prada dress.

I love her elegance, the side-sweeping curls and the jewels. This is a perfect look for her.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld’s mini was gorgeous. I loved the color and the criss-cross embellishments. It sort of looks like a step above Herve Leger. I agree that the tights mute the look, but without them… I think we might see more than anyone wants to when she sits down. That dress is short! So on this occasion, I am grateful for those tights. ;]

This is one of the better dressed events as of late. The Balmain dress is gorgeous, and like Dana said, the dress is super short, so it might have been a good thing to see tights with it! :)

if i ever see jessica alba (which mostly likely i never will) im gonna scream at her and tell her to stop ruining ever frickin outfit she wears by wearing bloody tights. god sake, just suffer the cold in show your bare leg.

dani, the runway version is much nicer the black is boring. gorgeous loubies though.

julia *cries* she looks great, but again the tights totally ruin this dress.

leigh, stunning dress!!!!! nice accessories i wish she wore the runway shoes those were stunning.

tinsley, im confused pink, yellow and black WTF. least there isnt any tights.

milla, f*cking fantastic, damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, stunning everything just perfect and her big smile makes it all even more fabulous.

i swear im gonna hunt down who ever invented tights and hit them with a pair of choos.

i have a feeling julia wore the tights because she seems to have gained a lot of weight in the leg area. her mom is skinnier and more toned than her! must be slightly embarrassing.

oh and p.s. i am completely blown away by the PERFECTION of milla’s hair! it’s like superwoman / wonderwoman side swooped amazingness! it must have taken a ton of hairspray yet it still looks silky and touchable!

i’m saving this picture for my hairstylist.

Everyone’s great except Julia. Why that girl keeps insisting on wearing Balmain when she ain’t got the body for it! And even if she does (which she doesn’t!) UP THE SIZE! They always look like 2 sizes too small on her. I’m effing TIRED of saying it again and again.

I think she just doesn’t carry the dresses well confidence-wise. She should leave it to Selita Ebanks who knows how to rock a Balmain dress, with plenty of sex appeal and attitude.

If the lack of confidence is all there is to it, I won’t take it against her. But I just don’t feel like she’s the Balmain type of girl, so it’s ridiculous to constantly see her wearing it next to so many designers out there. She’s a cute kind of girl. Something like this suits her much better.
