The Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 collection on the last day of Fashion Week, gave us a glorious colour palette of fuchsia, jade, coral, electric blue, red and sunshine yellow, and glossy blacks.
Marc Jacobs gave us pompoms, ruffles, bows, Playboy bunny ears, and lot of ruching.
There was a disco-punk prom theme with lots of puffy skirts and shoulders, which created a lot of volume, as did the multi-coloured layered skirts.
Mini tulip skirts, delicate lace blouses, knit cardigans and the most beautiful black tailored skirt suits were all presented to complete this gorgeous collection.
I did get a touch of de ja vu when I saw the nude and pink dress, as it has a Lanvin Spring 2009 feel to it, but other than that this was in my top 10 shows of the season.
The accessories – as you would expect – were all lust worthy especially the LV bags and clutches. The thigh high boots, which are surprisingly popular this season, I think I’ll pass on.

Gong Li made me go gaga over her Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 accessories with her denim blouse and wide pant Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 look. She accessorized this look better than it appeared on the runway.

Milla Jovovich wore a navy short sleeved blazer with tan stretch pants all from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 collection. She added a white blouse and red belt, to differentiate it from the runway look.
Her look was complete with a Louis Vuitton Monogram Motard Afterdark bag.

Alexa Chung should have really taken time to blow out her hair before attending this show, because I really love her look, especially her LV accessories.

Wow! Gong Li loooks amazzzzing!
Omg I totally love the blue dress in the first row! I would kill to have that with those shoes, they’re gorgeous!
When I saw that nude and pink dress I thought this post was about Lanvin before I checked it was Louis Vuitton! Love Milla’s outfit.
I feel the prints are a little too busy, but I really like the layer work.
I absolutely adore this LV collection !!! Marc Jacobs is a genius !!
The print dresses looked a bit Balnciaga-ish for me.
What is up with Marcy Marc? Feeling a bit uninspired and too busy with his new boy toy?
Gong is beyond gorgeos.
Wow! I love the prints on the runway show. Kinda reminds me of the leopard prints a LV did a few seasons ago.
FC your posts are merging into each other and some ren’t showing at all.
I saw Gong n person outside of the LV show, and she was so Chic. I didn’t like the way the pants moved though. Louise Bourgise looked stunning in her ensemble, I sat in perfect view of her. beautiful collection in person, pictures can not do it justice.
thanks for letting me know.
It looks like whatever the issue was it has stopped.
I’m drooling over Gong Li’s obi belt. I’m hoping the more highstreet will catch up creatively with those, as all the non-designer ones I’ve seen are pretty dull.
