Jessica Alba was gorgeous in this Christian Dior Spring 2009 knee length empire waist pleated dress, with a lace edged bustier and lace straps which she wore to the Film Independents Spirit Awards last month.
She accessorized with Christian Louboutin nude pumps, and a print clutch
.Socialite Tinsley Mortimer, wore a yellow, shorter version of the dress, when she attended the Frick Collection Young Fellows Ball last week.
She stood out from the other guests not only because of her yellow dress, lilac clutch combo, but also because she was the only guest not to wear a Monique Lhuillier gown to that event.
I much prefer the lilac, so Jessica wins for me, also Tinsley clutch cchoice really put me off her look.

The only reason I chose Jessica’s version is because I didn’t like the clutch Tinsley wore. The shorter yellow dress with the black sandals are far more edgy! Love it!!
Jessica has a softness to this look that seems to me how the dress is intended to be. Tinsley (whoever she is…) looks like she tried too hard!

Jessica looks a bit dead on it, she has no spark there. Tinsley looked like fun and so I forgive that bad choice of clutch.
