Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: February 2009

The forever flawless Iman wore this absolutely gorgeous Rachel Roy Spring 2009 strapless dress, when she attended the 3rd Annual Black Girls Rock! Awards in New York last year.

The gorgeous dress had an embellished bodice and a tulip skirt, which the legendary model wore with tights and Louboutin’s.

Grammy winner Jennifer Nettles wore the same dress when she attended the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

She wore her dress with gold peep-toes, and carried a black clutch. As much as I love Iman, I prefer this dress without the tights, so Jennifer wins this for me.

Lauren Conrad celebrated her 23rd birthday recently with her BFFs Lo Bosworth, and her new boyfriend, actor Kyle Howard.

The crew partied at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

The birthday girl was wearing a green-and-black sheer tunic, embellished with sequins from the Proenza Schouler Resort 2009 collection as a dress.

You may remember Maggie Gyllenhaal also wore this tunic, when she attended the CFDA Awards last June, but she wore hers with silk pants.

If you are anything like me, you would have not only been drooling over Jennifer Connelly Balmain dress, at the He’s Just Not That Into You LA premiere, but also her Balmain Crystal embellished studded sandals.

These heels are an investment piece. You’ll be able to wear them this Spring, Fall and beyond.

They are so incredibly eye-catching, that you will no doubt be asked, “Where did you get your shoes from?”, when you step out in them.

Jennifer has a pair, Carine Roitfeld no doubt has a pair, and you can also own them by purchasing them from Net-A-Porter for £1,370.

Luisaviaroma offer free shipping to the US, Canada and Europe.

There is something very charming about Keira Knightley’s boyish Chloé Pre-Fall 2009 ensemble, which she wore to the Cheri premiere, during Berlin Film Festival last night.

Unfortunatley it’s her hair that ruins this look for me. The curly hair does not quite suit this edgy look, and the bangs are too heavy and too blunt.

The British actress completed her look with Chanel diamond studded heels, and of course a Chanel purse.

Gwyneth Paltrow was dressed in all white, barring her pink and yellow Roger Vivier heels.

The actress wore a Balmain Spring 2009 jacket with satin lapels, over a white plunging Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2009 dress, which had contrasting fabrics of velvet, satin and jersey.

Even though her clothes are all current, she is oozing a retro vibe.

I love the invisible make-up.

Gwynie’s BFF Beyonce Knowles arrived wearing a black fitted Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2007 Couture dress, with a black beaded multiple layered necklace.

The only thing sparkling here, are the jewel details on her heels.

I don’t like this at all.

I almost fell off my chair when I saw that Jennifer Aniston’s BFF was NOT wearing black.

Courteney Cox took a break for the norm, to wear this L’Wren Scott metallic spaghetti strapped dress, with matching heels.

I think Dakota Fanning or Miley Cyrus would better suit this haltered black mini dress, with a white bow tie, than Sheryl Crow.

Rita Wilson brought a water brust of colour to the red carpet, in her aqua strapless dress.

She wore the dress with a stunning Lanvin statement necklace, but sadly her pointy pumps let her down.

Angie Harmon’s grey Kaufman Franco jersey dress hugs her in all the right places.

On season 6 of Sex and the City, do you remember at the end of episode 88 when Carrie Bradshaw and Aleksandr Petrovsky end up in McDonalds whilst she wears gorgeous pink Oscar de la Renta dress?

Well Blake Lively and Penn Badgley recreated that moment, as they discussed if they should supersize their meal, at the counter of a McDonalds in Berlin last night.

She was still wearing her perfect pink Oscar de la Renta gown, which she had worn to The Private Lives of Pippa Lee premiere.

I think Ling said it best when she said, “What a waste of a perfectly nice dress.”

Thanks MissTuesday
