This is one collection I really wish I got to see live.

Alexander Wang’s Fall 2009 collection was all about rock chick chic.

Every piece was oozing an overtly sexy vibe, with leather, cut-out pieces, mini skirts, and figure-hugging dresses. Wang also presented skinny pants, tailored jackets, leggings and Axel Rose style biker shorts.

Apart from leather, tweed was presented. You wouldn’t associate tweed with rock n’ roll chic, but it worked.

Sarah Jessica Parker was the star of the front row, and got a seat next to Anna Wintour.

Sarah wore head to toe black, with her trademark wavy hair. I wonder if she was picking out pieces for Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City 2.

Erin Wasson is so friggin’ cool. I love this ‘I just threw this on’ look.

Roisin Murphy wore a grey sweater and leather skinny pants, from Alexander Wang’s Spring 2009 collection. I’m surprised Roisin did not wear some of the more edgier pieces.

Rumors of a divorce have been following Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony for a while, but the clearly loved up couple look happier than ever in New York on Valentine’s day.

Marc Anthony performed at Madison Square Gardens on Saturday night, and Jennifer was his biggest fan in the crowd. The couple surprised the audience by bringing twins Max and Emme onto the stage.

Jennifer look stunning wearing a black Marchesa asymmetric dress ($3,550) / £2,603.40)
with an embellished neckline and pleats.

Her feet were also decorated with a very cute pair of Christian Louboutin Carnaval heels ($1,665) with crepe satin feathers on the heel cap.

She completed her look with an adorable heart shaped Judith Leiber Heart N’ Soul Minaudier clutch ($2,195), which was covered in fine Austrian crystals.

J’Adore.

Michelle Monaghan is head-to-toe flawless, wearing a silver asymmetrical Calvin Klein Spring 2009 dress, which she wears with silver square toe pumps.

The most interesting feature of this dress, was the large boxy fold detail going across the skirt.

She is on fire at the moment.

New York Fashion Week wouldn’t be New York Fashion Week with out Joy Bryant in or around the tents.

The model/actress wore a silver strapless metallic Missoni Spring 2009 strapless jumpsuit to this event.

The jumpsuit had an embroidered band around the waist, which she wore without make-up, a large brown clutch and hooped earrings.

Consistently gorgeous as always.

Helena Christensen opted for eggplant pointy pumps, to work with the embroidered details on her off-the-shoulder Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 dress.

The details on her black satin dress are exquisite.

Mary Alice Stephenson wears exactly the same Thakoon Spring 2009 dress which Tilda Swinton wore to the opening ceremony of the Berlin Film Festival.

Of course the major differences are the colour and the length.

I absolutely adore this dress, and I hope to find it in Harrods, Selfridges or Harvey Nicks very soon.

Mary Alice looks fantastic in this dress, she really sold it to me.

Runway regular Chanel Iman wore a strapless teal taffeta top, with a short black skirt which has a touch of the teal taffetta on the hem.

She’s even more beautiful without make-up. Life’s just not fair.

Arlenis Sosa is in her 2nd season, so I don’t know if she still classifies as a newbie on the model scene, but she has learnt very quickly that the model’s off-duty designer of choice is Alexander Wang.

The model wore a strapless dress with a black silk bodice, and a aqua blue and cerulean blue contoured coiled skirt from Alexander Wang’s Spring 2009 collection.

The black blazer is also part of any model’s uniform, but I wish she hadn’t worn this outstanding dress.

I am not a fan of tights on the red carpet, but in this case Irina Pantaeva’s ivory tights really brings this look together.

Her ivory embroidered Vivienne Tam Fall 2008 dress, is quite simply a work of art.

Leona Lewis arrives at Nelson Mandela 90th birthday dinner in London last year.

She wore a beautiful strapless pink Missoni gown accentuated with a gold belt. As usual her look was simply beautiful and effortless.

Joy Bryant wore the same strapless dress in yellow, when she arrived at the Art of Elysium Gala in LA last month.

Joy also kept her look simple, but accessorized with a champagne coloured clutch, and a gold bracelet.

I adored this dress in pink, and the gold accent gives this dress more shape, so Leona wins this for me.

Tonight – if you are in US or last night if you are in Europe, I attended the unveiling of Matthew Williamson new store located in the trendy Meatpacking district.

The store’s design retains the vintage inspired feel associated with the London Bruton Street store.

When you walked into the store and past the mannequins in the windows, and hanging from the ceiling you come upon a runway-like walk way, which had alcoves on each side housed with accessories such as shoes and handbags. As you made your way to the back of the store the collection was presented on a large circular rail in the middle of the room with clothes also along the back of the wall.

Walking into this room I instantly thought of it being the idea location one of Austin Powers swinging 60s parties, as it oozed that kind of sexy 60s vibe.

Many celebrities were there to support Matthew Williamson including Lindsay Lohan wearing Pre-Fall 2009, Katharine McPhee in Resort 2009, Lily Collins in Spring 2009, Joy Bryant in Resort 2009, Rachel Zoe in Spring 2009, and Heidi Klum, who I missed whilst getting another glass of champagne.

Rachel had a very comical moment when she entered the store. The Spring 2009 gown she was wearing, was the same gown as the mannequin in the store window. She was graceful enough to laugh off incident. I bet she was happy it wasn’t another party goer.

Lindsay was very interesting to watch, she loved posing for pictures, and in real life she is even smaller than you would think. Had there been any canapés, I would have bee tempted to force feed her.

Her sequinned dress from the Spring 2009 collection was stunning, even though she was tiny in it.

All these pictures were taken by me, but I will upload the professional ones once they are added to picture agencies, so you can see the full ensembles.
