Brian Reyes

Rachel Bilson is BFF’s with Brian Reyes, so it was no surprise she was front row at his Fall 2009 show.

She wore a rust pleated back Brian Reyes Spring 2009 vest over a moss racer back dress from the same collection.

Michael Kors

This is the hairstyle Heidi Klum should have worn with her Matthew Williamson suit, it’s edgy without bordering on severe.

Her LBD from the Michael Kors Resort 2009 collection is outstanding.

Brian Reyes After Party

After the Brian Reyes show, Rachel Bilson head to the after-party wearing a white from the designers Spring 2009 collection.

As the dress is semi see-through, Rachel wore a white puff-sleeved dress underneath.

Zac Posen

Claire Danes wore a simple silver satin dress, which I do not favour.

Rachel Bilson wore a black pant suit, with a white and black trimmed blouse from Zac Posen Fall 2008 collection. She completed her look with a red clutch.

Nicole Richie was my best dressed at this show, wearing a gorgeous white sleeveless Zac Posen Spring 2009 dress.

Alicia Keys and DJ Leigh Lezark joined her in the front row wearing darker, less summery dresses.

Ralph Lauren

*Sighs*

I am not liking any of this, but what I am most baffled about is why Blake Lively wore those beige shoes to go with her grey sweater dress and tan leather jacket?

Tommy Hilfiger

I think it’s safe to say that Diane Kruger is sponsored by Ray Bans. Why else is she pictured in them every show she goes to?

Selma Blair opted for a LWD with a black belt, tights and clutch.

On Sunday night when I attended the Matthew Williamson store opening party, I was really bummed that I missed Heidi Klum, who only stayed a very short while.

It looks like she may have popped in to pick up her hot pink sateen Matthew Williamson cropped blazer and cropped pants, from the designers Spring 2009 collection, which she wore today at the Project Runway show at Bryant Park.

I don’t know about you, but it looks like the suit is a either too small, or too tight, especially when you compare her to the runway model.

I am also not crazy about her hair pulled back so extremely. Her shoulder length ‘do would have worked better for me, so would the stylish ‘do she wore a Michael Kors’ show.

Too short? Too tight? Just right?

What do you think?

The hottest girl in Hollywood right now, Freida Pinto, again showed us her perfect style, when she attended the Irish In Film Awards pre-Oscars bash.

The beautiful actress wore a strapless yellow, orange and gold printed Missoni Spring 2009 mini dress, which had been shorten from the runway. This modification was right for Freida, unlike Estelle’s Brit Awards modification disaster.

She also replaced the embellished runway sash, with a shimmering sunshiny yellow one.

Her look was completed with a gold clutch, and a pair of blush Christian Louboutin Paquita satin gladiator sandals.

Others at this event included Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard and Abbie Cornish.

I love Kate Winslet, but the constant black is tiring, I am so Jennifer Aniston over it, and I’m worried that she will pick a black dress on Sunday night.

If she does – unless it is outstanding – she will end up on the worst dressed list.

Here she is wearing a Herve Leger LBD, with black pumps.

As elegant as Marion Cotillard looks in her strapless brown dress with white polka dots, her hair leaves a lot to be desired. It really is lacking in volume.

Abbie Cornish also opted for a LDB with a tiered skirt.

All I can say is thank the fashion gods for Freida being at this event, otherwise it would have been a complete wash out.

Catherine Malandrino’s Fall 2009 presentation was held at the Rainbow Room on the 65th floor at the Rockefeller Center. It was refreshing to get away from the hussle an bustle of the tents.

When I arrived on the top floor, I was greeted with a breakfast buffet. This is the first show I had attended with refreshments.

I was very excited to be invited to this show, because Catherine always presents really pretty feminine dresses.

As the curtain fell, and the lights dimmed, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow, played in the background, first model walked out onto a circular stage. The stage was rotating, and I was impressed at how none of the models wobbled like Bambi on ice. I’m pretty sure I would have hit the deck.

The collection is full of very pretty, wearable pieces, made to flatter a woman’s figure. Dresses and separates were embellished with jeweled details and intricate embroidery, draping and ruching emphasised the details. Sheer mesh played a big part, with some pieces nodding to the illusion of nudity.

In Catherine’s notes she had titled her collection “Over The Rainbow” which may explain the bird wings details on some of the pieces, because you would need wings to fly over the rainbow.

Models wore black mesh hair nets, with some also wearing the nets as veils.

Here are some of my pictures. One of my favourite dresses was a black jersey dress, which looked very plain from the front, but the back was open with a stunning jeweled detail on the right shoulder.

Mary J Blige was the guest of honour, as they are very good friends.

The diva did not remove her sunglasses once. Not even when the turned the lights down for the show.

Mary looked outstanding wearing a lilac Malandrino Spring 2009 dress, with eggplant knee-high boots.

Sophia Bush was already one of my secret girl crushes, but yesterday she really went up in my estimation, as she was so incredibly graceful.

She arrived wearing a black coat, to reveal this gorgeous red satin Catherine Malandrino dress with flutter sleeves.

Mena Survai looked really good wearing a Catherine Malandrino sheath dress, with a floral pattern and scalloped edges throughout.

She contrasted her pretty dress, with some kick-ass Pour La Victoire gladiator heels.

Michelle Trachtenberg wore a pale lilac Malandrino Spring 2009 cropped leather jacket, under her all black ensemble. Her and Sophia talked like old friends, it was great to see, as I have witness many celebs pretend other actresses don’t exist at shows.

Here’s a photo of Coco Rocha interviewing Mary J Blige for E! after the show, which I took.

Kate Bosworth has been around the tents at New York Fashion Week, as she attended the Diesel Black Gold show.

Last night she was back on the West Coast to attend the Global Green USA’s 6th Annual Pre-Oscar Party in California.

Kate is never one to shy away from wearing something with an edge, so she wore this Loewe Spring 2009 strapless dress, with an explosion of white and black trim rosettes cascading down the front of the dress.

I like that she wore the dress without the runway belt, but I would have preferred her to have worn her hair back like the model.

What you do think? Terrific or travesty?

Vivienne Tam’s Fall 2009 presentation on Wednesday evening at Tam’s Soho boutique, was presented in the same way as the Marchesa presentation, which I had attended earlier in the day.

Marchesa’s was one hour, whereas Vivienne Tam’s was a two hour presentation. As much as this is a much more enjoyable way to view collections, it’s hell for the poor models, who have to stand in heels for two hours. I could see them slipping out one heel at a time, to ease the pressure.

The colour palette of the collection included rich jewel tones of magenta, crimson and eggplant, other colours include grey, black, teal, green and orange.

The designer presented cocktail dresses, skirts, blouses, coats and skirt suits, with an East meets West theme, which was artfully created with mandarin collars, chiffon cut outs and appliqué pieces.

I loved the colours and the elegant styles.

Model Irina Pantaeva was there wearing the gorgeous Vivienne Tam embroidered dress she had worn earlier in the week.

I took this snap of former America’s Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson, as she was being interviewed. She came with friends, and happily posed for pictures with anyone who would ask.
