Before sadly leaving New York last week, my last show was the Tadashi Shoji Fall 2009 presentation.
This collection was mostly about cocktail dresses. We were treated to ruffled skirts, halters, one-shouldered, puffy sleeves, satin and strapless cocktail dresses in a range of vibrant colours.
Rose, violet, teal, acid green, red, white and black were the colours used alongside prints, that had a very summery feeling for a Fall collection.
The few gowns that were presented all had a very sleek streamlined silhouette excluding the billowing printed gown above.
If you are looking for something fun and flirty, without having to carry around a long train. This is collection for you. Young actresses will love collection.

Here are just some of my show notes, that I collected over the week. They give a very detailed description of the pieces presented, and help understand more about the fabrics and processes used to create the pieces. A printed cocktail dress then becomes, a Geranium & rose print silk taffeta cascade front dress.

Lucky, lucky, lucky girl. I try very hard not to be jealous- you deserved visiting all these fashion shows- but it is not easy at all.
Oh, and I just HAVE TO thank you for all these Oscar posts. My computer didn’t work the past five days and it was AWFUL. I wasn’t able to read my e-mails, okay, I could handle that, but waiting till monday to see FC’s Best Dressed Awards??!!
Yes. Nothing more to say. For me it was hell.
The good thing: Now I can enjoy four sites full of Oscar gowns!
(Another bad thing: This is the first time I didn’t vote for my BDOTW since I’ve started to read your blog.)
Best wishes and again a huge thank you- Lily.
