Just before Pamella Roland’s Fall 2009 presentation started, snowflakes fell gently from the model exit, to reminds us that despite being in the warm tents, we were about to see a Fall collection.
The collection started with lots of fur pieces, or pieces with fur trims. Coats, gilets, and stoles were luxuriously draped on the models.
I adored the rich velvets and embellished trims on sexy dresses, and lush gowns.
The colour palette was succulent, with deep plums, ravishing reds, emerald greens, black and winter whites.
My favourite gown, was a gold sequinned plunge neck gown, which I can just picture on the red carpet on Oscar night.
Paris Hilton was in the front row, and as soon as the model wearing the white sequinned dress with the feathered details and black hem walked the runway, I immediately looked a her, because I thought it would be perfect for her. She turned to sister and gave her an approving nod, so maybe we will see her on the red carpet wearing it soon.
The presentation ended with Pamella taking to the runway. She invited her kids to join her and they walked to the end and posed for the waiting photographers. It was a very touching moment, and a nice way to end a magnificent presentation.
