Gwyneth Paltrow attended the Two Lovers screening in New York last night.
I’m all for celebrities trying something new, and different but this Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2009 ensemble, does not quite work on Gwynie for me.
The ensemble included a gold round-neck top, black high-waisted leather shorts, a black blazer, black tights, and grey suede booties.
The top half is perfect. From the waist down, is were it falls apart. The high waisted shorts scream ‘mum jeans’ too me, they don’t sit well on her at all. Maybe she needed a bigger size.
I am not a fan of the grey booties either, I cute strappy sandal, or a pumps would have worked better on her. The booties make the look feel so heavy.
What do you think?

You’re right! Everything below the waist is a mess.
Personally i like this look. But what i love is her hair and make up. perfection
I don’t like what she’s wearing at all. Don’t like her hair and makeup either.
I LOVE THIS LOOK, both off her and on her.
I actually love the booties, they could have been a different color as well. the color the model has on would look lovely for example.
but idk, strappy sandals or pumps would take away from the look’s edginess
I agree that the boots don’t match the outfit, but her hair and makeup look gorgeous.
The boots are so off, but the rest is amazing. Her hair and make-up look perfect.
Disaster! That was one of the best Pre-Fall collections, almost every look was perfect. This look, though, is not very red carpet friendly. There were much better ones for this type of occasion. She wears it bad, too. Grey booties are the worst.
I love it!!
I like this look, apart from the shorts.. They’re a tad unflattering. Something matte would’ve worked better in my eyes…
