Modifications can improve a dress, or they can ruin a dress. Duffy did the latter when she attended the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes last month, wearing a shorten version of a chic YSL dress.
Kristin Scott Thomas wore her beautiful velvet bow strapless dress as it was intended, when she arrived the Critics’ Choice Awards, carrying an embellished clutch.
If you are still undecided as to who wore it better, maybe the heels will help.
Kristen wore a gorgeous pair of YSL satin sandals, whereas Duffy opted for the much worn YSL Trib Two pumps.
Even without the heels, Kristen wins this very easily for me.

Kristin looks elegant as opposed to Duffy who manages to make the dress look trashy
True, but then Kristin would look elegant in a bin bag. I do think that since Duffy was at a music awards ceremony, and since she is younger than Kristin, she could have maybe worn something a bit more edgy or, heaven forbid, colourful. I am slightly intrigued by the horrendous satin trousers of the man next to her, though.

Duffy sent her dress to be washed and it returned shirkend.shrinked. That looks so bad.

I wish we could see more of Kristin on the red carpet, because she is the classiest of all actresses.

It’s crazy because when you really look at it Duffy is not fat, but the dress makes her look fat and trashy.
When will those girls understand that less fabric does not equal more sexy?
Kristin no contest. Those shoes are great with that dress…her legs look great, and they show some character…and the dress is better for her body type than Duffy’s. on Duffy it looks like a poorly chosen dress to wear to a wedding, not like her personality at all. It looks naturally like it was made just for Kristin. Weird thing is the dress looked burgundy on t.v. on Kristin.
