Runway To Album Cover - Miley Cyrus In Gucci

Gripping a huge microphone, Miley Cyrus appears on the cover of her album, Breakout, wearing a modified Gucci Resort 2008 halter-neck top and a pair of white jeans.

This album is her her first solo effort outside of her Hannah Montana moniker.

Breakout which is due out on July 22, is bound to satisfy the bubblegum-pop-loving kids, and adults, all over the world.

In Paris Hilton's Closet - Marc by Marc Jacobs

Paris Hilton arrived at Narita International Airport with four friends today in Narita, Tokyo.

She arrived wearing this Marc by Marc Jacobs mini dress, which has a polo-style top, and a geometric skirt.

This dress is currently on sale at Saks.com for only $231.90, down from $388.

Paris will no doubt be promoting something in Tokyo, but I would also guess she wanted to get away, as in 2007 this very weekend, she entered jail for violating her probation.

Chanel Celebrates It's New Concept Boutique Opening, LA

With her classic quilted Chanel red bag, and her embellished Chanel Spring 2008 T-bar shoes, Rachel Bilson wore a beautiful ruffled Chanel Fall 2008 dress.

The chiffon dress has a cascading silk rosette detail down one side, which is the perfect final touch to this stunning dress.

Leighton Meester opted for an edgier dress from the Chanel Pre-Fall 2008 collection.

This wet-look dress is beautifully embellished with multi-coloured jewels on the neckline.

The Gossip Girl actress completed her look with a black mini Chanel quilted bag and black slingbacks.

Amber Valletta's chiffon Chanel Resort 2008 dress with asymmetric blue stitching, is perfectly complimented with her Chanel Spring 2008 T-bar shoes with blue accents.

Angie Harmon brighten things up a little, with her multi-coloured striped halter-neck dress from the Chanel Resort 2008 collection.

The orange belt is perfect compliment to this dress.

Michelle Trachtenberg is decidedly mute in this black and grey ensemble.

January Jones wore a black chiffon Chanel Spring 2008 dress with gold accents, which she teamed with a gold clutch.

This dress looked much better on the runway.

Malin Akerman is embracing the jumpsuits trend, in this gorgeous shimmering maroon jumpsuit detailed with a rose.

Tracee Ellis Ross channels her inner Anna Wintour, wearing Anna's favourite blue and red checked dress from the Prada Spring 2008 collection.

Tracee completes her 'Editor-In-Chief' look with a black Hermes Birkin.

Emma Roberts goes Joss Stone in this psychedelic Chanel maxi dress.

Who allowed Nicollette Sheridan entry to this event? And why does she ALWAYS get it so wrong?

Roberto Cavalli Wine Launch, London

Tamara Beckwith wore a Valentino Spring 2008 pink coat, over her pink top and jeans ensemble.

I love Sophie Ellis-Bextor's red musical note clutch, as much as I love her ruffled Just Cavalli Fall 2008 flamingo printed shirt.

Camilla Rutherford wore a fushica pashmina, over her cream floral print spaghetti strapped Roberto Cavalli Spring 2008 maxi dress.

Hamptons Magazine 30th Anniversary Dinner with Cover Star Kim Catrall

Kim Cattrall is wearing a pink Herve Leger dress, and proves that you can never be too old to wear a body-con dress.

Dinos and Jake Chapman Exhibition, London

Roisin Murphy is wearing head to toe Gucci. Her top and jacket is from the Gucci Spring 2008 collection as is her gingham skirt.

It is not often we see Kate Moss in head to toe black, and it is not often we see her smiling.

Her LBD is by up and coming British designers Poltock and Walsh.

In Victoria Beckham's Closet - Versace

Victoria Beckham is usually a woman of firsts, and in this case she is the first to wear these Versace Fall 2008 platform pumps.

The former singer wore these pink shoes with her pink Hermes Birkin, whilst having lunch with her son Cruz, at Pink Taco in LA. No I am not making this up.

The shoes are beautiful, but they must be around 6 or even 7 ins high.

How does she walk in them?

Who Wore Marchesa Better? Georgina Chapman or Sharon Stone

Georgina Chapman arrived at The New Yorkers For Children Benefit during April, wearing a Marchesa black halter-neck gown, which give her a fluid silhouette.

She wore the dress, which has a black and gold sequined detail under the bust, with a gold necklace, gold earrings and a gold clutch.

Sharon Stone wore the same dress when she attended Madonna's I Am Because We Are premiere at the Palais des Festivals, during the Cannes International Film Festival.

The under fire actress wore her dress with silver earrings and a black handbag.

Georgina wins this for me, as she accessorized better.

Baseball Attire, Diva Style

There are only two women in the world who will combine heels, short shorts, sunglasses, make-up and freshly coiffed hair with sport. Of course those two women are Victoria Beckham and Mariah Carey.

Victoria Beckham was the first to adopt this look, when she was invited to throw out the first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Mets game last June.

She wore white shorts, a Dodgers jacket and Dries Van Noten wedged sneakers.

Not to be out done, when Super Diva Mariah Carey was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch before a Japanese baseball match between Yomiuri Giants and Rakuten Golden Eagles at Tokyo Dome this week, she wore a pink and white bomber jacket (yes another one) with M on the front and Mariah on the back, with denim shorts and white gladiator heels.

Ridiculous does not even cover it, although at least Victoria's has an element of sporting appeal with her Dodgers jacket and her wedged sneakers.

For this season, Christian Louboutin has created a similar wedged sneaker.

The taupe sneaker espradrille wedges have white laces and contrast patent leather piping. They even come with the signature red soles.

These wedges are available to purchase from Net-A-Porter $315 /€220 / £170

"Sex In The City" Premiere, Toronto

Kim Cattrall's love affair with Vivienne Westwood continues in this pink satin bustier one-sleeved dress.

I much prefer this dress to all 3 of her other premiere dresses.

She was the only cast member to attend this premiere.

Re-Launch of Health Magazine, New York

Kristin Davis continues her great run on the red carpet, in this emerald one-shouldered Michael Kors chiffon dress, with earrings to match.

A lot of commentators (including myself) have been saying that Kristin has been dressing a lot like her character Charlotte York from Sex And The City lately, but this is quintessential Kristin, cute and sophisticated.

Breathing Life Awards, London

Natalie Imbruglia attended this award ceremony wearing a Marc Jacobs Fall 2008 knitted dress with a built in scarf.

33rd Annual American Women In Radio & Television Gracie Allen Awards, New York

Not being a fan of lace, I am finding it very hard to say anything nice about Ali Larter's Chanel dress.

This would have worked better for me if the skirt and the lace overlay had stopped at the same point.

Kelly Rutherford wore a red Calvin Klein Resort 2008 bandeau maxi dress, with a white sandals and a white clutch.

Giuliana Rancic's make-up makes her almost unrecognisable. Despite that I love her strapless David Meister black satin gown with jeweled detail on the hip and an origami bodice.

"You Don't Mess with the Zohan" Premiere, LA

Not liking the colour combinations of Emmanuelle Chriqui strapless Amanda Wakeley Fall 2008 gown, nor do I like the fact that the dress appears to be too low.

Perrey Reeves keeps it simple in this white Herve Leger dress with silver sandals.

Anna Faris is truly golden in this Juicy Couture sequin scoop-neck tank dress.

Superbad actress Emma Stone wore a cute one-shoulder Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2008 dress with pink pointy heels.

Tamara Beckwith's Birthday Party, London

TV presenter and journalist Tamara Beckwith had a birthday party in London last night at Beach Blanket Babylon.

The birthday girl wore navy and white starred Chanel Spring 2008 dress with a jagged hem, whilst friend Naomi Campbell wore a chiffon printed maxi dress.

Which City Did The Girls From Sex And The City, Look Best?

OK I am still on a Sex And The City high, after seeing the movie last night.

Please vote for your favourite premiere dress for each actress.

All of my choices, shown with a heart, were easy apart from Kim.

I don't think any of the dresses did her justice.

TopShop v Luella

Florals are a huge story for this season. Luella's Spring 2008 collection was full of floral dresses, tops and skirts.

One of my favourite dresses from Luella's collection, was this floral dress with a swishy skirt.

The dress also works in the transparent trend, with a sheer top and sleeves.

TopShop have obviously taken inspiration from this dress, to create their own Ditsy Sheer dress.

This dress retails at £50, and also comes in a pink version.

I tried it on during my recent trip to TopShop, and it is gorgeous.

Camilla Belle and Thandie Newton, who never look less than perfect on the red carpet, wore this dress last year. In the Who Wore It Better? Poll Camilla is winning by 70%.

H&M Fall 2008 Collection

We are barely into Summer and H&M have already released pictures of what we can expect to be wearing this Fall.

The model in the collection is Heather Marks, but doesn't she look like a blonde Lily Cole in some pictures?

I am already in love with the black snood, the blue skirt, the grey chunky knit skirt and the grey striped dress.

I have never purchased a pair of shoes from H&M, but the Chloe-esqe shoe-boots look promising.

I love all these pictures, but what I find with H&M and most retail stores, is that you can never find the pieces that appear in the promotional pictures. I hope on this occasion, that I do find these pieces.

Kate Bosworth On The Cover Of Harper's Bazaar Australia July 2008

21 actress Kate Bosworth appears on the cover of the July 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar Australia wearing a buff colour lace dress from Prada Fall 2008 collection.

In her editorial she talks about preserving her childhood, how she stays grounded and her boyfriend James Rosseau.

On her career during high school: "I didn't want to be the 'child actress.' Some strange little part of me knew I had to go through those challenging teenage years and not be interrupted by Hollywood. I shot a few things over summer holidays like [TV series] Young Americans and Remember the Titans, but I wanted to take the time to study."

On how she stays grounded: "Once you go through the experience of being dragged through the mud, you don't ever give a sh*t ever again. Being a public figure there's always this fear. 'Do they like me?' It's a high school thing. My tips are: 1. Don't read anything [written about you] — it's all full of sh*t. 2. Have good people around you. 3. Laugh."

On helping boyfriend James discover his musical talent: "He has always played and written music — it's the poet in him. I would always hear him strumming and say, 'James, you have to give this a go.' Being in a creative field, I understand how nerve-wracking it is to put yourself out there. My best friend's husband is a music producer and has a studio here. He's Dutch, James is British. I knew they'd smoke a lot of cigarettes, drink red wine, and have a blast recording the album."

Here are some stunning pictures from her editorial.

Who Wore Diane von Furstenberg Better? Camille McDonald or Star Jones

Camille McDonald first wore this mint and ivory satin Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2008 cowl neck printed gown to the 1st - and maybe the last - Fiercee Awards back in March.

Recently single Star Jones wore the same dress, when she attended the Benefit for the Prince Albert Foundation during Cannes Film Festival.

I think they look equally bad in this dress, but I prefer Star's hairstyle, so she wins this for me.

Sex And The City New York Premiere Red Carpet

I have not nearly gushed enough about Sarah Jessica Parker's Nina Ricci Spring 2008 gown. The train was beautiful and had a very marine like feel to it.

Her jewels were by Fred Leighton.

Kristin Davis opted for a gold pleated Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2008 dress which gave her a nipped in waist. This is very much a tried and trusted formula, which works best for her glass hour shape.

What is very interesting about this dress is the ruched hem.

I would not have chosen gold for Kristin, but she pulls if off well.

Her heels and clutch are by Christian Louboutin and her jewels are by Fred Leighton.

Although Kim Cattrall's Vivienne Westwood dress was nice enough. I had a few issues with it.

Firstly the embellished stripes down the front, may have worked better if they were just plain.

Also the back had a origami-style folded detail, which made the dress from some angles, look like it was unzipped at the back, giving Kim a strange silhouette.

Kim can be seen in many pictures tugging at the fold in a joking manner.

Thank god Cynthia Nixon did not wear black again. This time she opted for a white haltered Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2008 gown with a Bottega Veneta Satin box clutch.

Jennifer Hudson was stunning in her very sexy Peter Soronen Fall 2008 dress. I adore the fit and the cut-out bustline.

This is definitely my second favourite dress of the night.

The bob? LOVE IT. She was on fire last night.

The film gets the Royal seal of approval from Anna Wintour.

Not only does the "Devil Wear Prada", but she also wears Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009.

Try as she may, this cutesy look just does not work on Fergie.

I really hate this Libertine dress on her.

Singer Mary J Blige wore a white Marchesa shift dress, with a black embroidered trim and carried a silver Lambertson Truex Sienna Nappa/Snakeskin Clutch.

Ashley Olsen is surprisingly not all in black, smiling, and is wearing make-up.

I love the white tuxedo jacket from her own label The Row, it makes her look very grown up and sophisticated. Her corseted belt is by Givenchy and her blouse is vintage Balenciaga.

She completes her look with an envelope clutch by Calvin Klein.

I am sure there was a temptation for Emmy Rossum to go full out prom to this event.

Surprisingly she did not give into her temptation, and opted for this sexy strapless black and white tiered Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2008 dress with a black accent, which nips her in at the waist.

Writer Candace Bushnell wears this sexy flapper style dress.

Stylist Patricia Field sticks to her quirky style, in this violet metallic mini dress with cut-outs on the sleeves.

Katie Couric wore this white dress with pastel paillettes covering the dress and white satin heels.

Joan Allen decided the pressure of going glamourous to this too much for her, so she opted for jeans and a t-shirt instead.

Even with Lydia Hearst's heavily embellished Heatherette corset, her fluorescent green Christian Louboutin Privatita platform slingbacks stand out for me.

Michelle Williams goes glam in this silk violet empire-waist gown.

Molly Sims sparkles in a black and silver Tory Burch sequined cocktail dress, which she wore with nude pumps.

Lynn Cohen aka Magda is on trend with her sheer dress and shawl.

Melania Trump arrived with her husband in a white trapeze dress. I am surprised to see Melania in something so loose fitting.

Well......What can I say other than I like Lil' Kim's shoes.

I know what else I can say, Holy Hot Mess.

Of course the men were there.

New dad Chris Noth arrived with his baby mama in a crisp taupe suit.

David Eigenberg arrived with a guest who thought white gloves to a premiere was a great idea.

Jason Lewis was there looking as handsome as ever....take a moment to swoon ladies.

Let's not forget the Mario Cantone, who is one of my favourite characters.

And Willie Garson, who is oh so cute in his trademark glasses.

I am going to see the movie tonight. Can't wait. Don't worry, you will not read any spoilers on here.

Runway To Red Carpet - Sarah Jessica Parker In Nina Ricci

LOVE Love love it.

Sarah Jessica Parker arrived at the Sex And The City premiere in New York tonight looking amazing in this stunning Nina Ricci Spring 2008 strapless sweetheart necklined gown with a paper-thin silver fan-pleated taffeta overlay

OK it is not any of my dream dresses, but she does look stunning.

The dress, the colour, and the silhouette, the hair, all perfection.

More to follow....

Supermodels Shop At TopShop

Whilst doing my weekly browse/shop in TopShop Oxford Street this evening, I spotted not one but two supermodels.

First I spotted - the even more beautiful without make-up - Anja Rubik. The stunning blonde Polish model stood out not just she is so damn beautiful, but because she is so tall and ultra thin.

The model was dressed casually in white jeans, a khaki jacket and ballerina pumps. She quietly browsed around the store, picking up various pieces, before heading to the changing rooms.

My chin nearly hit the floor when I then spotted Naomi Campbell in the store. I could not see if she had heels on over the rails of clothes, but she looked very tall, and I am taller than her at 5ft 11.

Her amazonian presence commanded your attention. Were Anja went unnoticed, you could not help but notice Naomi despite her wearing shades. She stormed around the store barking orders to whoever on her infamous Blackberry, and to the poor TopShop Style Adviser who had been assigned to look after her.

Everyone was staring at her.

Is her hairline is as bad as it looks in the photos? No worse. She obviously had no time to do her hair today.

The supermodel is in London to find out if she'll be charged for her reportedly violent outburst over a lost bag on a British Airways flight in April.

TopShop is turning out to be quite the celebrity hotspot. In the past year I have spotted Ashlee Simpson and Jenna Jameson, Victoria Beckham, Kelis, June Sarpong, Denise Van Outen and many other UK celebrities

What did I buy?

Well after featuring the above jumpsuit in my jumpsuit trend post last week, I tried on this chiffon star jumpsuit, and was pleasantly surprised that it fitted perfectly.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Kristin Davis On The Cover Of Marie Claire UK July 2008

With the Sex And The City movie release this week Marie Claire UK have created a double cover for their July 2008 issue.

The magazine, which goes on sale tomorrow, will feature Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis on separate covers.

When it comes to these types of issues, I usually always pick my favourite star, which in this case is SJP, but I much prefer Kristin's cover.

I am not crazy about SJP's dress on the cover, nor her straighten hair. I prefer her with curly or at least wavy hair. On Kristin's cover everything is working for me, the hair, the dress, even the shade of pink lettering.

These may seem like little things to pick over, but it would really make a difference in my decision-making process.

This is of course not the first June/July cover SJP has been on.

As the world eagerly awaits the movie release, the main star has featured on many covers.

Runway To Red Carpet - Roisin Murphy In Roksanda Ilincic

When Roisin Murphy attended the Sex And The City London premiere, I was asked what she wore, but I was stumped.

Now I have found that the Irish singer wore a very interesting asymmetric hemmed dress from the Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2008 collection.

Roisin has a very unique sense of style, which is very fashion-forward.

You have the opportunity to purchasing her Roksanda Ilincic Coral drape dress from Net-A-Porter.com.

You can purchase it this silk satin colour block dress, with asymmetric hem and contrast draped neck piece from Net-A-Porter for $662 / €1,085 / £725

Who Wore Roberto Cavalli Better? Rebecca Romijn or Celine Dion

Model turned actress Rebecca Romijn, arrived at the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards back in January, wearing a curve-hugging, sweetheart neck-lined, corseted Roberto Cavalli Resort 2008 cocktail dress.

The stunning white dress had a black sequined and lace overlay, to give it a dazzling effect.

The actress wowed everyone that night, because she was one of the few ladies on the red carpet that night to wear a knee-length dress.

She wore minimal jewelery, her hair wavy and black pointy pumps.

Canadian singer Celine Dion, wore the same dress last week, when she received the Legion d'Honneur from French President Nicolas Sarkozy, at the Elysee Palace in Paris. This is one of France's greatest accolades.

She wore her dress with a form-fitting black satin jacket and black peep-toes.

When I first saw Rebecca in this dress, I thought it was too dark for her, as she is normally a bubblegum pink type of girl. But after seeing Celine in the dress, I realise that Rebecca does not look so bad in it, so she wins for me.

Mariah Carey's Obsession - Bomber Jackets

Mariah Carey ♥'s bomber jackets.

If it was not official the first 4 times she wore a bomber jacket, it definitely is official now.

The singing diva wore a white, black and red trimmed Gucci Resort 2008 bomber jacket yesterday, when her and hubby Nick Cannon arrived at LAX Airport bound for Japan.

The obsession started back in February, when she arrived for a taping of MTV's TRL and has continued since then.

Some of you might be thinking "If ain't broke, don't fix" and I tend to agree, to a point.

There is knowing what works best for you, and there is getting stuck in a style rut.

Mariah is on her verge of that rut, as the bomber jacket and short black skirt seem to almost be a uniform, despite the various different colours of the jacket.

Ladies Love Lanvin

The Lanvin Spring 2008 collection stayed away from the floral trend of the season. Instead it included Grecian goddess gowns with horsehair hems, tunic dresses covered in feathers, flapper-style dresses, tiered dresses and ruffled cocktail dresses.

Celebrities can not get enough of Alber Elbaz stunning designs...

...especially author/actress Padma Lakshmi, who has an enviable collection.

If you had not heard of Lanvin before Cannes Film Festival, you most definitely do now, thanks mostly to Natalie Portman, who wore the signature tiered ruffle cocktail dresses many times on the red carpet.

Alberta Ferretti, Marchesa and Roberto Cavalli all dressed many celebrities at Cannes, but Natalie Portman, Carine Roitfeld, Kristin Scott Thomas, Gwyneth Paltrow and Linda Evangelista, stood out, and were most talked about in Lanvin's unique collection.

It has been exciting seeing so much of Lanvin on the red carpet lately, the only problem with so many fantastic celebrities wearing them, is that people like Heidi Montag, Paris Hilton, Jenna Jameson, will soon catch on that wearing these stunning dresses = exposure, so they may starting wearing the collection.

Do you remember how Herve Leger was first worn by the likes of Kate Bosworth, Catherine Zeta Jones and Emily Blunt when she collected her Golden Globe Award?

Now it's worn to death by Kim Kardashian, Melanie B and Audrina Patridge.

It is not just the red carpet were we are seeing a lot of Lanvin.

Many dresses from the collection have appeared on both models and celebrities in editorials within magazine all over the world.

Drew Barrymore's March 2008 US Vogue editorial, featured two dresses from the collection.

The stunning advertising campaign, shot by Steven Meisel. The shots are enchanting with its vivid colours, wildflower background and the haunting stare and pale skin of model Olga Sherer.

The store window in Paris was just a beautiful.

Fans were used in the window, to display the billowing nature of the mushroom-cloud dresses.

It is my summer wish, to own one of these gowns.

In Renee's Closet - Sean Collection

Growing up in the UK, we did not have Prom's - although they do now - but in the US, Prom night is what every girl looks forward to, and like on the red carpet, it is ALL about the dress.

Renee, a regular reader, asked me to feature her stunning gown, which would not look out of place at any red carpet event.

Her dress is from Sean Collection (not Sean John).

The silver white stretch mesh gown has illusion cut-out details on the front and back, with a chiffon train, which she accessorized with a sliver clutch.

Renee did the right thing by modifying this gown into a strapless gown, as it makes the gown more elegant.

I also love that she did not wear a necklace, as the sparkles on the dress are enough. She wore drop earrings and her hair pulled back, which assures me that she is indeed a reader of my blog.

I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Renee on receiving a Red Carpet Gold Star on a job well done.

You look stunning my dear.

UPDATE: Thanks to Almata for informing me that Renee's dress has actually been on the red carpet. Vanessa Hudgens also wore the same dress in black to the Billboard Music Awards.

Renee, you win this contest hands down.
